We were celebrating a birthday, but we reminded ourselves that it does not need to be a birthday or anniversary to enjoy such a special restaurant. Every item we have had in either location has been superb, no exception. The wait staff is trained beautifully and executes to perfection. Our meals were out of this world!!! And the unexpected bonus dessert for the birthday boy (78 yo!!) was such a nice touch! A very special occasion indeed.“

My husband comes here about once a week and he is always happy to see Eric working because he does the best salad chopping and makes sure every customer he serves is happy with their bowl. We came in tonight for 3 salads and surprise Eric was working. We hope everyone gets to experience a salad made by Eric we appreciate him more than he knows.“

“Great atmoshere, high-end stylish dining room, comfortable seating. The salmon dish was delicious and a large portion. The spinach rice side dish was so delicious! The Ravini Politiko, coconut cake was the best I ever ate! The Thalissina, seafood pasta had plenty of seafood in it and delicious. Even the cappaccino was delicious, very smooth, no bitterness and taste great with dessert! The server, Baris, was attentive, friendly and did a great job taking care of us. Great place to eat, homemade dishes and desserts! Highly recommend it. I will be back!“

“My wife and I are from southwest of China. I would say Chef Lee's Element makes the best and the most authentic southwest Chinese dishes in DC area. We've tried almost every dish and it never lets us down. For the service, I want to thank Micheal for his kind and wonderful service, he is always smiling and talkative and gives his nice recommendations of the dishes. We go there almost every week.“

The ramen and karaage are noticeably much better than what they were before. Deep savory ramen broth from hours of simmering. Juicy chicken karaage from a long overnight rest in marinade. The sushi rice significantly better than from when Kusshi first started.

Service is fast and polite. The atmosphere is lively and casual.“

I came in hoping to buy a specific cake for my girlfriend’s stepmother’s birthday, but unfortunately the last one was purchased by the couple right in front of me. I was honestly pretty disappointed.

Mayleen immediately recognized how disappointing the situation was and handled it with such kindness, empathy, and professionalism. She sincerely apologized, took the time to make me feel valued as a customer, and even went above and beyond by offering me slices of another delicious cake as a thoughtful gesture.

It’s rare to come across someone who genuinely cares about a customer’s experience the way she did. While I didn’t leave with the cake I originally wanted, I left impressed by the outstanding customer service I received. Employees like Mayleen are exactly why people become loyal customers.

“No frills hole in a wall place. Great and welcoming staff. Great service. First time here and I got the spring garden roll and my friend and I split the green bamboo roll. One of the only places that I have been too that offers more than 1 type of veggie roll; plenty of veggie maki rolls. Rolls are large and they are generous with the filling and toppings. Got a bottled green tea. They do not serve alcohol. They accept credit card. I will absolutely be returning and telling everyone I know about this place. Next to Great shopping and there is plenty of parking!

One suggestion is to have a bottle of Sriracha on hand just to add a bit of spice to the veggie rolls.“

The place is small, but can get noisy when busy. On Sunday night, it was neither. Bartender Tico was also our server, and was attentive and friendly, with some top-shelf touches. There are a lot of meatless choices. The Greek salad was innovative and big enough to share. Our trout and swordfish were beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. All the draft beers are local. It was clear from conversations we overheard that the place attracts regulars - with good reason.“
