“Stopped here for the first time last week and boy was I blown away! It’s easily become a favorite place. I got the Thunderbird with Cheesy Yuca bread (gluten free) and I inhaled it in minutes! All of the flavors and textures worked together and it was absolutely delicious! It was also so filling, in a way that breakfast sandwiches are often not. I also appreciated that it was just your typical BEC either. My oat milk Mocha was also delightful, which was especially satisfying as it was decaf. All in all, I can’t wait to return!“

“I was recommended this location by a friend who tried CYM and I loved it! The little deli (food truck) was near my house and was a pretty quick trip. The ordering process was seamless. I ordered online and picked up my order right the window. I got a Sun City Bagel which featured cheddar, eggs, and bacon! The food was HOTTTT and fresh... literally to die for! It stayed warm even an hour later when I finished my nail appointment that I was heading too! Also the branding and location is just aesthetic! Even though this is a food truck location, they did have a few parking spots which was easy enough to just park and get out grab my food and go! Good food + aesthetic location = happy Cindy“

“Good and cheap deli that you wouldn't notice on first glance. The sort of neighborhood place that is all over NYC but I don't see much of in DC. Had pastrami, turkey, swiss and coleslaw on rye. All came out to $8.50, and they didn't skimp on the sandwich fillings either. Is it gourmet or top tier juicy pastrami? Of course not. Is it a rock solid lunchtime sandwich at a great price? Absolutely.“

“I am part Polish. My great grandmother came from there to Ellis Island in 1906. She raised my Mother who is now in an assisted living environment less than 1 mile away from this place. I am always looking for little things to help brighten her day when I visit several times a week. Polka Deli in has proven to be an ideal solution and helping me meet that goal. My earliest memories are eating freshly made pierogies and kielbasa in my great grandmothers kitchen with my mom and others. Enjoying the amazing food and snacks I’ve picked up here helps both of us during these very difficult times as she is confined to a bed over 90% of the time. She only eats a few bites so my diet is not improving but getting the smile from her and as we drift in and out of memories together is priceless.“

“Food was excellent! Staff very friendly and food was prompt and made as soon as the cashier took my order. Seems like a mom and pop shop and the area is clean. They were very generous was the potatoes in the breakfast box and the pancakes were nice and fluffy and buttery. They also wrapped my toast with jam and butter to go! “The best cold cut in the city, no doubt. I've been going for years and rarely stray from it, but the sausage and peppers and meatballs are tasty as well. My two year old LOVES their cookies. An update... I tried their frozen pizza dough recently and used it on my pizza stone. Holy cow it was incredible. I've been trying to make pizza dough for years without these results. I'll just buy from here now.“

“I have lived in Rockville my whole life and just discovered this Deli when I was looking for something quick to eat in the area. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the workers were at making each sandwich with care to each of our different wants. The quality of the meat was very good and the sandwich was big and delicious. I ordered the Godfather Sub toasted. Highly recommend. They also have a good variety on the menu and you can grab a beer or wine and bag of chips just as easy.“

“Pizza for $2.50 a slice. Very old school Italian deli. It was great to see this kind of place still going strong in an age of chain markets and restaurants. We also picked up some funky looking pasta sauce. We'll definitely be coming back to get olives as a party appetizer, or a pizza as takeout.“

“Take my reviews with the knowledge that to get a five star it has to be perfect. We visited on a Sunday morning around 10am and there was no line and about 3 tables taken. Nearly all the bagel options were all gone. Most of the tables were available, but we could only find about 3 that weren't dirty. Service at the counter was polite and efficient.Food was as anticipated, good enough bagels, not the kind that you have to chew into and pull hard to snap off a bite. Bagels are easy to bite into. I was pleased that I was given more than enough cream cheese, possibly too much! The cappuccino was also as expected. $9.05 for large cappuccino and a plain bagel with cream cheese (March 2024).“

“Listen, I order GrubHub seven days a week OK I never heard of this restaurant before I ordered three sandwiches first of all the patty melt is so good and came so hot off fresh off the grill it burnt the top of my mouth and I couldn’t do anything but keep eating it. “This is the best deli I've found in the downtown silver spring area. Their breakfast sandwiches are great, their wraps are great, and my partner says their sandwiches are great too. I had a chocolate chip muffin once and that was nice and moist as well. I don't think you can go wrong here! Prices are good and normal too, especially for how much food you get. I often can't finish my sandwich and get two lunches in one.“

We tried 2 of the bagel sandwiches: The Mountain View. Egg, latke and cheese - great combo I've never heard of before, highly recommended - there was so little avocado that it didn't register, but it wasn't needed. The Sun City with bacon, egg, cheese, honey on everything bagel - also a good combo if less original than the Mountain View. The music was loud and not great. Maybe the strategy is to get people to just take out and not sit down? The suggested tip starts at 15%....l know many places in DC are doing that but for takeout it's not ok with me. Prices + tips have gotten out of hand and we do eat out less often now because of it.“

“Jean's is hidden. If you know, you know. It's a quick spot to pick up breakfast or lunch. The sandwiches are STACKED! I had a turkey, egg, and cheese sandwich, which was definitely worth the price. I will be getting my breakfast from here! Someone in my office raves about their club sandwich and says she can't find a better sandwich. The service is quick, and everyone is super friendly. It's something to check out if you're in a rush or need something quick.“

“My husband and I were visiting DC in February. The hotel we were at did not have a restaurant. After some exploring we found this little gem. Had a delicious breakfast every morning in DC and never left feeling hungry. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. It was nice to go there in the morning and be recognized. I know those in the restaurant business see a lot of people. To be remembered is something special. We are planning another trip back in a couple weeks and plan to make this a daily stop for us.“

“I'm so happy to stumble upon Rock Cafe, because there are not many (or any other) places to grab a bite to eat within Bedford building complex. The cafe on the ground floor of Total Wine HA. The entrance might be a bit hard to find, but it is on the side that is facing the main road. While it's a small cafe, it has a menu that contains various salads, soups, and sandwiches. Also, I believe Rock Cafe has Indian food on Mondays and Thursdays. Since I visited on a Thursday and didn't want a sandwich, I decided to go with the Butter Chicken. OMG! The dish was so yummy. In fact, the plan was to eat half of it and save the rest for dinner. However, it was so delicious that I ate the entire thing!The owner/manager has a great rapport with the Rock Cafe's visitors and seems to be on a first name basis with many of them. I have a feeling that I will have a few more lunches at Rock Cafe.“
