“Food was great. I got the cheese steak and fries. Of course a lot of places now a days ask for a tip for virtually doing nothing. I placed my order at the counter and they called me back to the counter to pick up my food. It wasn't worth the tip. I wouldn't recommend tipping.“

No space inside to eat so be prepared to eat it outside, we didn’t mind since it was beautiful out but check the weather prior to arriving. I would come back if I am close by but I wouldn’t take an uber 25 minutes for a bagel here.“

The old town waterfront doesn’t have many(read: any) fast takeout/lunch options. This place would’ve been great just by virtue of being the only option, and yet here they are, being actually great on their own merits.

He told me where to buy it and went straight there. Chicken Madness is what I order and at first impression, the sandwich was fresh hot in temperature. Then, when I took the first bite I was reborn. I would love to visit DC again and most definitely stop by for 3 of these amazing sandwiches.“

“Really nice deli, the food is great and the service is fast. Which surprised me. They actually carved the turkey in front of you for your sandwich. Not sliced off a loaf, but carved the pieces out. The gyros were delicious, along with the rice bowl. No wonder they keep a line there. It's worth the wait.“

“Vace is a DC institution in my eyes. I enjoy stocking up on the homemade sauces and pastas to store in the freezer. I also like the imported Italian brands they carry. My favorite thing to buy is the pizza dough. It's the best of the best and will hold up in the fridge for several days or more. The staff told me to leave it out for 4 hours before stretching it and topping it. That works well. I may also get a slice to go!“

I’ve been there several times over the years and I always order the same thing the fish sandwich. As I observed the people that patronize the restaurant. Some ordered takeout and some ate inside. “I've eaten here twice before and the service was fast, prices were reasonable, and the food was excellent! We came today at 1:40pm for pancakes and bacon but when we arrived the Open sign was turned off and the ladies told me they had already put everything away and were about to shutdown, which I found ridiculous! It looked like they'd had everything put away for quite some time since they were actively cleaning at that time. If you ask me, a restaurant should take orders until closing time, but perhaps that's just me...“

First of all, the products are all handpicked quality items, ranging from some novelty and speciality goods such as snacks to more everyday items such as toothpaste and deodorant. The best thing about this shop is it that the family that owns the store are a wonderful bunch, ready to cater to your every need especially if you are a regular here. The store now carries a wide selection of grocery items including diet drinks that aren't usually available and various types of beer and wine. Service is quick and the owners go out of their way to give you what you want. I made a casual comment that they carried a lot of diet soda but not diet Mountain Dew. A week later I was grabbing a few quick things and noticed 20 oz and 2 Liter bottles of it! They now keep it in stock just in case. While waiting for food to cook the owners are even helping me with my French.“
