“Finding a Filipino restaurant isn’t easy. So learning about Purple Patch thru Jo Koy—has ended this search! Literally, Filipino cuisine heaven! The restaurant is uniquely decorated, the staff were friendly, & the food hit that major comfort button for us! Thank you Zahara for being so sweet & a wonderful waitress. We can’t wait to come back for more!“

“The tasty food is one thing BUT one thing which stood out for me is their great customer service. Jane and her other colleague were all smiles, kind and attentive. You can tell they love the job that they do. This is the kind of service you wanna comeback for more. I also appreciate that they're wearing a transparent mouth shield as it looks more neat than a regular mask. They offer free soup and coffee on top of your regular order which is great since it's winter around this time. I hope they can be consistent with their business approach and I wish their new store a success!“
“Loved their pork BBQ best -- pork belly cuts with a more citrus/calamansi variant of sasawan. We had fried bangus, lumpiang shangi, kikiam, lechon kawali silog, sago't gulaman and calamansi juice. Although small, it was a cute little spot with a nice sari sari/small market selection, the Ates were nice, and the food was solid.“

“I stopped into Kabayan today, and both the quality of food and customer service was exceptional. The woman at the register made me feel at home, guided me through menu options, and constantly kept me updated on the progress. This restaurant is exactly what you imagine when you think of a home cooked meal, that leaves you smiling and want to come back for more.“
“Taste of the Pacific food truck stopped at Ft Belvoir and I’m so happy they did. As soon as I parked my car I had to follow my nose till I found the food truck. I ordered platter 1 which was chicken on a stick, rice noodles, and egg rolls. It was mouth watering! Great flavors! Female taking orders/handling transactions was very nice. Kudos to the chef over the grill. I told my family about the great food so I hope they will be back soon on Belvoir.“

“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. For my son’s high school graduation party, he wanted Filipino street food that would appeal to both Filipinos and guests trying it for the first time. Chickboy absolutely delivered. They set up a pop-up tent and served hot-off-the-grill pork and chicken barbecue skewers, along with street food favorites like Kikiam and Fishbol, complete with signage explaining each item. The moment you stepped into the food area, you were transported back to the Philippines. From desserts displayed on bilao trays to drinks served under a nipa hut, every detail was thoughtfully executed. And the pièce de résistance: chickboy provided a sorbetero, complete with a bell and traditional ice cream cart serving Toby’s Ice Cream (shout out to Toby!). When I say there was a line around the corner, I mean it—guests couldn’t get enough. The DMV has long lacked true Pinoy family-style catering, and Chickboy knocked it out of the park. They didn’t just serve food—they created an experience. Chickboy, you have raised the bar.“
