“This is the third time we have been to this diner. The wings are very good. They have a very inclusive menu which is very helpful with people with allergies. It is also the only place I found an option without having to alter anything in the recipe. I wish they would add a df notation on the menu like they have gf and v. I was so happy to find delicious hummus and cauliflower pita. The bartender was thoroughly looking through their allergy menu (they need an updated one) which was very nice. It is busy there but today we really only had to wait for the check. They also have dairy free milk shakes!“

“I just have to share the fantastic experience we had tonight. My husband and I went to The Local around 6:30 pm (prime time without reservations lol). The only available seats were a high top table in the bar area. They asked us if that was ok and we said “sure”. Within a minute or so after being seated, it became apparent that our vision of a nice relaxing dinner would be impossible in that room. The Preakness was about to begin, and that bar was loud and hopping! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love to see people enjoying themselves. It was a party, but just wasn’t our vibe tonight. We decided we would go elsewhere. We politely informed the hostess that we were going to leave because it was just a tad too noisy, but that we would definitely return again soon. We stressed that we were not mad, or upset. As we were walking to our car, a very nice gentleman followed us out and asked if we would consider returning if they could sit us elsewhere. We said “Of course!” We didn’t think there were any other available tables, but he said they would work something out for us. We told him we didn’t expect them to go out of their way for us and that we could wait. Within five minutes, we were seated at a lovely table in the dining room. We later learned the gentleman that helped us was none other than the owner/ executive chef Zack. We went on to have a delicious dinner with the most attentive and charming server. They demonstrated exemplary customer service, which sadly is lacking in many other establishments. We weren’t expecting any special treatment, but they certainly went above and beyond for us, and it was very much appreciated! When we were leaving, Zack happened to be outside, so he made sure to ask how our experience was. We told him it was amazing, and that his restaurant has been one of our favorites since it opened. We told him we would be back soon. Our experience there tonight is just one of many examples why this restaurant stands out, and why we will always highly recommend them! “One of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to. The line might seem a bit intimidating, but trust me, it’s worth it. There’s a line for a reason. Not only do they have some of the most fun specialty drinks I’ve seen (sipping on a Fig Chai Fog right now), but the food is orgasmic. This morning, My boyfriend got us a bunch of things to split, including the breakfast sando. The fact he even gave me half of this is commendable. If I tried it first, just like he did, I would have hidden the rest for myself because there’s no way would I share it. It is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The chipotle pepper jelly makes me want to do cartwheels. I also highly recommend the crab dip bagel, but really anything you get will be amazing. Always the best service too! Super sweet workers. If I was nonstop customer facing I don’t know if I would have a smile on my face like they do. Bravo!“

“I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Ampersea! From the moment we walked in we felt welcome. Joey was absolutely fantastic - setting us up at a table with an amazing view and checking on us multiple times during our visit. He offered to take our coats after we were seated and then offered to take pictures of us when we were on our way out. Ampersea has definitely been the most positive experience we have had during our trip. I can honestly say that Joey is the sole reason we cannot wait to come back to enjoy a meal and a drink (or 2, or 3 haha) once the weather is nicer! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!“

She was familiar with the two customers in front of me. It definitely had a neighborhood friendly vibe. The shop was busy. Most of the tables on the first floor were taken up when I was there. Be sure to take a stroll up the stairs. At the top of the stairs was an adorable little spot for two people to sit and chat. The second floor has a great little area to sit and ready or study. The top floor was full of light. I ordered my usual cortado. It was a solid drink. The cortado wasn't bad but it also wasn't anything spectacular to write home about.“

“Wow! We ordered carryout from Ellie’s Tavern and were absolutely blown away. The food was incredible — huge portions, hand-cut fries, house-made blue cheese, and perfectly hand-breaded chicken tenders. The Crab Rangoon dip and Buffalo Cauliflower were outstanding. “We've purchased various goods from the store twice this fall and everything is delicious. The apple pie is addicting. The apple cider is the best I've ever had. They have an awesome selection of fresh apples. Despite the crowds, the check out line moves quickly and parking is organized.“

“My friend and I went here recently for the first time. We sat at a little table by the bar and were served immediately. Our female server/bartender was very friendly. Food and service were both excellent. We split a salad, buffalo wings, and a smash burger with fries. Everything we ate was seriously so good! 10/10 recommend this place!“

“My wife and I came here on a Sunday evening for a quick dinner. The employees were very kind and attentive. Our waiter took both our appetizer and entrée orders at the same time, something we usually do to save time. The food arrived quickly and was hot when served.

I ordered the Volcano Ramen, Sexy Jalapeños, and Crystal Shrimp Dumplings. The dumplings were tasty, but the sauce that came with them really made the dish, a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The Sexy Jalapeños had good flavor, though the different textures and consistency could be a bit much after a few bites.

The MVP was, of course, the ramen. The broth was hot and flavorful, and the toppings complemented it perfectly, adding a comfortable level of spiciness.

The only downside was being seated by the door. If you’d like to avoid DoorDash drivers waiting nearby for pickup orders, I’d recommend asking for a table toward the back if available.“

“We live right around the corner and drive past this place constantly. We've lived in Parkville for five years and came here for a Bluey brunch sometime last summer with our toddler. We decided to try the actual restaurant part tonight for dinner. The food was outstanding and our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Very lively, festive atmosphere, but my one complaint is, MAN, was it loud in there. My daughter spent the first 10 minutes after we got there holding her ears because it was so noisy. But I guess that's to be expected from one of the most popular local restaurants in town. Will most definitely be back!“
