I was shocked at how good and real these NY-style bagels are. If you’ve had a fresh NY bagel, there is a distinct consistency of the outside and inside of the bagel that makes it enjoyable to eat untoasted. This place more than scratches the itch for a craving for NY bagels. I find myself just having a meal or a single bagel and cream cheese, taking a bite and applying a small amount of spread to savor each bite.
This newer addition to the Potomac Promenade Shopping Center is a welcome addition and has become a primary anchor for the area. Brilliant idea combining the Potomac Pizza space with Bagels & Grinds, which created a very comfortable space for several tables, together with a classy bar and TV's for hanging out, watching sports, etc. A good bagel shop in Potomac is critical.

Bagels 'n Grinds is considered the best bagel in Montgomery County and Maryland, beating other big name shops. The bagels are awesome, with a chewy outside and soft moist inside. Popular items include great egg sandwiches, the SteakNEg, and the Bacon, egg, & cheese on a Jalapeño Cheddar Bagel. They offer interesting coffee bar options, including oat milk for lattes, and have dairy free choices. The service is phenomenal, helpful, friendly, fun, and kind, creating a friendly atmosphere where staff and customers engage. The contemporary interior is spacious. They are easy to work with for catering, and their online ordering is straightforward. The price is good for what you get, making it a highly recommended go-to place.
