If you’ve had a fresh NY bagel, there is a distinct consistency of the outside and inside of the bagel that makes it enjoyable to eat untoasted. This place more than scratches the itch for a craving for NY bagels. I find myself just having a meal or a single bagel and cream cheese, taking a bite and applying a small amount of spread to savor each bite.“

Even with the recent growth of other bagel spots in the region, Brooklyn Bagel remains the best. Absolutely worth the trip! “Best bagels in northern Virginia by far. The smoked salmon, the everything bagels, the vegetarian sandwich are the highlights for me. They’re right on the edge of what I’d be willing to pay for bagels but the quality is very good. The consistency has also improved since they moved from the food truck. Coffee isn’t that great at least for me.“

“TL;DR: solid bagel sandwiches

Finally got to try this place as they continue to expand around the area. We arrived in the late morning/early afternoon and there were still a decent amount of people inside, as well as coming and going. They have seating indoor which is limited, and they have several tables outside.

FOOD:
~Ice americano (3.5/5): solid. On the lighter side for our preference.

~Pastrami Sun City (4.5/5): This sandwich was really good! Complex and non-muddy flavors.

~Jetski (3/5): Personal preference. It had good flavors, but it felt a little one-note for us in terms of texture.

~Pretzel bagel (2.5/5) with garlic and herb cream cheese (4/5): The pretzel bagel was a little too soft/not toasted enough for me. The flavor was okay. The cream cheese was PACKED with flavor though.

Overall, will definitely hit this spot up again.“

“We’ve been regular customers since well before Neal’s moved to its current location. The bagels are delicious (more New Yorky and flavorful than others in the area) and always fresh. The sliced turkey breast, Nova, and chicken salad are some of our favorites. Lots of other tasty menu items too. Highly recommend!“

from the machine near the front too. This is a pretty small bagel shop in this shopping center. Come early if you want to avoid lines. We came on a holiday so that could have been why the line was long but moved fast. Just took a long time to actually get our food. We got 3 bagels one was with just eggs, mine was a bacon, egg and cheese and the third one was just a bagel with turkey. We all agreed the bagels were pretty darn good. A bit doughy. Coming from NYC and saying these are pretty darn good is deff a plus!“

“This is my go-to for lunch when I am at the office and I've been going for 5 years. Family run business that makes the best sandwiches in Tysons. It's in the basement of an office building and is a very utilitarian space--you don't come here for the atmosphere. That said, it is always clean and well stocked with non-alcoholic drinks. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches are both great. You can eat there, or grab and take back to your office if you are nearby. My co-workers and I think the prices are on the low side, but that may be the economics of their location. A typical sandwich there is anywhere from $3-$5 cheaper than what you would expect topside in the Boro or Galleria, and the portions are actually bigger.

“Wow what a great find. I came out this way to go to a nearby doctors appointment and stumbled upon this hidden gem. They have a great selection of bagels 🥯, salads and sandwiches. The raspberry-chocolate coffee and bagel were both perfect. Some places don’t get coffee and bagels right but this place does!!!!Lol I’ll make sure to see my doctor again here in McLean, VA instead of MD just so I can stop by this deli. To the owner: My only suggestion is to carry Scones. Also the ladies working behind the counter were very friendly and professional .“

“I was hesitant to stop here because I wanted a sit down restaurant for breakfast, however I am very glad I did!! I ordered Breakfast #1 (2 eggs, meat, potatoes and toast) for $6.99 and devoured the eggs before I thought to take a pic.

“It was so delicious! We came pretty early in the morning and there weren’t much people yet, but there was lots of seating and the people were so nice! The bagels themselves were delicious, and we also got their spreads, which we really enjoyed. Overall great spot, would visit for a breakfast or lunch!“

“it was really early when i got here, (for me i guess anyways - 8am?) . . . it took awhile for the 3 people to help me with one coffee and one bagel. the bagel had hardly any cream cheese on it, never ordered here before so i wasnt aware. . . the coffee was good. it seemed like the employees were probably bagging up alot of carry out orders etc? first i had to wait for one guy to take my order, then another employee made the bagel and the last fella took a long long time to make my one iced coffee. it was okay. . . i wouldnt mind trying it again somewhere near me i guess. . . it was quite spendy too.“
