There are barstool height tables, but no seating. Basically, just somewhere to lean while you're waiting for your order. Be mindful when ordering the bagel your way. Price escalates quickly with each option. I paid about $10.38 for an everything bagel with sausage, egg and cheese. Overall, I would recommend.“

“One of the best bakeries I been in Silver Spring. It was my first time going there and I was getting a cake for my dad’s birthday day. I picked a strawberry chocolate cake which was delicious, the cake was moist the strawberries were fresh and the chocolate flavor wasn’t overbearing. I also got a bacon eggs and cheese which was also very good. The workers were very nice and even gave me a happy birthday cake topper.“

“This is a super small, unassuming little shop, but it is an absolute must-try. The bagels are incredibly delicious, chewy, and fresh. They have a brilliant selection of both bagel varieties and spreads/toppings, meaning there is something to satisfy every craving.

The only crucial thing to keep in mind is that they do not accept card payments. It is strictly a cash-only establishment, so make sure to come prepared. If you are looking for a top-tier, no-nonsense bagel in D.C., I highly recommend checking this place out!“

“I have been coming to Brooklyn Bagel weekly for over a decade. They have hands down the best bagels in the region, and also the best employees (I call them my bagel heroes)! Even with the recent growth of other bagel spots in the region, Brooklyn Bagel remains the best. Absolutely worth the trip! Be prepared for lines on the weekend and bring cash to pay and tip to make the experience better for everyone.“

“We came for a weekday brunch. We ordered a breakfast sandwich and a spinach omelet. The delicious sandwich was on a beautiful grilled bagel, and the egg portion was generous as was the cheese. The omelet was stuffed full of saites spinach, mushrooms, sausage and cheese. It was served with homemade potatoes and toast. We finished the meal with a generous fruit cup that was also delicious. The only thing that would have made it better was eating on a real plate and not paper. However, the food is totally worth making this a regular stop!“

Anytime I’m craving a bagel, this is where I go. The spreads are great, and the menu is well-curated—plenty of solid options without feeling overwhelming.

“This is a great cafe! It is very affordable and the fare is really good-- simple ingredients, very thoughtfully combined. For example, you can get an avocado toast for $6.50 that tastes very homely, fresh and natural. Similarly, the chicken pesto bagel is great. The bread is always toasted to a perfect extent. The waitstaff is also very nice, Diego in particular. There is also a high bar with 8 seats facing the window which is wonderful to work at because you get a lot of natural light and a view of the street-- at least one of these seats is usually available for working.“

They’re right on the edge of what I’d be willing to pay for bagels but the quality is very good. The consistency has also improved since they moved from the food truck. Coffee isn’t that great at least for me.“

We then had the pleasure of speaking with Yael when we visited the shop in DC. We had a cookie bar, black and white cookie (divine) and more cake pops that our kiddo could have! “The Chicken Avocado Wrap was really good, and seemingly a great deal at $10.90, but somehow when I added a Snapple tea, the total came to $15.84. That leads me to belive that unpriced drink was like $4. Moral of the story, those unpriced drinks is where they make up for the lower entree prices.“
