“Lunch with small group on a quiet winter weekday no one else in the place. My steakhouse burger was nicely cooked but non-memberable. The place did provide me with the option for a side salad instead of fries, which was made with fresh greens and very tasty. My friend was able to get her burger on gluten-free bread, and they nicely put her accompanying fries on a separate plate for the rest of us to nosh on.“

“We had a great time at this restaurant! My family and I came here while staying at the Hilton and my dad has a gluten allergy and dislikes garlic and onion. The chef Armando came to our table, listened to my dad’s concerns and made him a custom meal with plain lemon caper chicken, gluten free fries and a salad. He loved it and ate it all! “Very cool!!! This mall was always kind of lame with lack luster cheap stores. But they have really elevated this place by adding this cool food hall. There’s an upscale style bar where you can bring the food you get from the various food stations. Lots of awesome international food options.

I spoke at length with the bartender at C3 and the owner of MoMo the Nepalese dumpling joint. All very authentic with good vibes and great people.

If there is a beer you are looking for but can’t find, as long as the county sticks it, Ashish (the fabulous, friendly owner) will order it. The store is very clean and bright, I never have trouble finding parking, and the prices are on par with other stores. In the wine side of things, there is a good variety and prices seem a little lower than other area stores.“

The Ravini Politiko, coconut cake was the best I ever ate! The Thalissina, seafood pasta had plenty of seafood in it and delicious. Even the cappaccino was delicious, very smooth, no bitterness and taste great with dessert! The server, Baris, was attentive, friendly and did a great job taking care of us. “My husband and I decided to stay here overnight during our drive home from a beach vacation. I am covered in mosquito bites and am just miserable. I couldn’t wait to take a shower. Well let me tell you, I have NEVER taken a shower as good as the shower I just took in this hotel. It scratched every mosquito bite on my body simultaneously and felt so amazing. The provided toiletries smell like I just stepped out of a spa. The towel was fluffy but not linty. The water pressure was immaculate. The temperature was consistent and easy to set to the perfect amount of hotness. And my skin doesn’t feel like it’s been stripped of all of its moisture like it does after a shower at most hotels. I will only stay at this chain from now on if they’re all like this. I need to know how to get this at home. I’m serious. Best shower of my life.“

“The night before the Marine Corps Marathon, we celebrated our anniversary dinner with family and relatives at Satay Club, a cozy Malaysian restaurant tucked in the heart of Washington DC. I’m always on the lookout for authentic flavors — and this place truly impressed us with every bite.

We started our feast with their signature Satay — both chicken and lamb. Perfectly grilled with smoky charred edges, the skewers were tender and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the rich, nutty peanut sauce. It felt like a taste of Kuala Lumpur in DC!

Next came the salted fish fried rice, aromatic and full of wok hei (that irresistible smoky aroma). The balance of savory salted fish, soft egg, and crisp vegetables made it comfort food at its best. The calamari dish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with colorful bell peppers and crunchy shallots — a delightful mix of texture and spice.

We also loved the tofu and eggplant stir-fry, which came in a deliciously savory sauce — rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. To end the evening, we indulged in ice chendol and fried banana, a sweet and refreshing finish that brought nostalgic memories of Southeast Asia.

“I pick up dinner at Strings once a week. My favorites are the wings (dry rub), blackened salmon, and the crab cake dinners. They have never disappointed me on the quality of the food.“

“My second visit, and the first one for two companions, we went for lunch. The atmosphere is very nice, quiet but not overly so. The staff greeting at the door is very pleasant, with smiles all around. Takumi offers specials for lunch, for $16-$18, including a Sushi one. The specials are served on a beautiful dark wooden tray, which includes the appetizer (salad or miso soup), a choice of 4 main courses (I enjoyed both Don, a bowl or rice with either eel or chirashi, a mix of raw fish; also on offer is a shrimp tempura, and the third dish is a nigiri sushi roll, (choice of 4). With this comes a small tray with three compartments, one with a salad (I had squid once and seaweed once), two and a piece of soft tofu in a slightly sweet syrup to wrap up the meal. The a la carte menu is very tempting as well, and the special rolls are delicious. All fish is flown fresh from Japan, and included Hokkaido uni (sea urshin) which was wonderful. All around, a lovely experience. We will be back!“

“worst service ever. My family and I actually had to walk out and we were a group of 10. They did not want to serve us and I was told I should of made reservations. I watched the waitress/server clean other people’s table and completely ignore us. A customer who was a regular had to wipe down my table for us (I should’ve walked out then )but we drove an hour to come here And we were trying to just deal with the poor customer service so we can eat. Customers that were seated after us were able to order before us and receive their food. when we finally had the opportunity to order food we were told that they were out of oxtails pork and fish which made no sense because people were still ordering takeout for the same items we were trying to order.. You would think we were sitting there for free meals. The waitress told me she was going to the back to check to see what they have but when she came back she went to the bar area and started taking someone else’s orders and completely ignored us .We ended up walking out with no apology given. She Just looked at us as if she was happy to see us go because she couldn’t handle a table size of 10 people. All we were trying to do was support our Haitians. Its a shame we were treated so poorly. I suggested this restaurant to my family who drove an hour to be treated so poorly .Do not visit this restaurant“

“Grape Escape is a unique treasure – they have a fantastic beer/wine selection, they’re a cool local hangout/bar, and they’re an intimate live music venue. The beers are perfectly cold, and the staff warm and helpful. I enjoyed Grape Escape under previous ownership and have found the new owners to be equally as gracious and completely committed to maintaining and growing its coolness. I look forward to many more years of frequenting this fun shop and gathering place!“
