“Enjoyed a great dinner at Beteseb Restaurant when we came into town for the funeral of a dear Ethiopian friend. The food was excellent and the owner/chef and her brother (who was our server) were very kind, helpful, and welcoming. I highly highly recommend this place, especially for their kitfo!“

“I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

I was very touched because I accidentally left a small thing on the table and the owner had a customer rush after me to return it (I had already crossed the street and was halfway down the block). While waiting for my food I turned to see dine areas the atmosphere was great, the Lamb was cooked Beautifully and the portion was large so I asked to go parcel, definitely I would suggest this restaurant and when I go back DC I would love to visit the restaurant again.“

“Went for a late, late lunch. Service was superb, but the meal was the best Ethiopian fare I have had in some time. My new favorite! Food (vegetarian combo) was fresh and spicy. The greens were the best I have had anywhere. Injera was very good, and plentiful.

“Wow! We ate here as a family, party of 9. It was my fathers first time eating Ethiopian food. This was by far THE BEST ETHIOPIAN food we have had in the DMV! From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with amazing service, accommodated for our large party and assisting my father with handicapped access. They served us delicious homemade chips and the food was mouth watering. We ordered two larger platters and every bite was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Very fresh food and my dad was very impressed with his experience. We topped off our meal with yummy desserts! We will be back soon, I highly recommend eating here.“
