“I went here for a birthday and they delivered. We had to reserve in advance which I appreciated . We didn’t stress. Food was great , they did this special dining for 10 people which was so beautiful , we had some Instagram worthy pictures. Food was delicious and they sang happy birthday which made birthday girl feel special. Owners were so nice . Already made plans to come back here.“
“I was impressed by the freshness of the Injera and the vegetarian platter. The wait staff was very polite but there were not enough servers. I would have preferred If food was more tasty. The alecha had only one sliver of a carrot with the rest of it was cabbage- Usually it has potato and carrot. The lentils/yellow peas didn’t seem to have Any spice at all. My friends enjoyed the beef Tibbs. Serving of injera was plentiful. The cappuccino was very nice and we enjoyed our time there.“

I asked a lot of questions before I ordered something because I cannot do too much spice, but a little is necessary (I’m Caribbean).I had the Kitfo cooked medium and rare. Both were simply amazing. They also have a decent wine selection.Parking is plentiful in the back.It’s delicious and everything was so fresh. Must try!“
“Walked in 10 hours from my last solid meal and ordered the chicken tibs. They turned out to be too spicy for me, and I was preparing to pay and leave disappointed. The waitress saw I hadn't finished, and the cook came out, apologized personally, and cooked a milder dish at no charge. I don't get service like that every day! The new chicken was great.“

“I've been to dozens of Ethiopian restaurants in the DMV, Balagger is one of the best you will find. They serve you frosty ice cold glasses, with delicious fresh draft beer. All the beef Tips are fantastic, especially the Zil & Awaze. The fried fish is fantastic. The vibe is great, and the service is friendly and first class. The music is great, and the restaurant is extremely clean and inviting. I highly recommend Balagger, and my compliments to the owner and the chefs of this wonderful restaurant!“
