“I think I died and went to heaven lol. I was at a neighborhood outdoor festival and ordered from their food truck there. I expected it to be half the amount of food I received and delightfully surprised at the amount of food I got for $11! I can see why they have 100% positive ratings. “So this place has been on my list for a while. Today I decided to get my signature kale caeser salad. Which is something that I like in summer expecially. I was skeptical with the price at first but the portion was massive. I ended up getting almost 3 meals out of it. They made everything fresh and the cool bar was well stocked and looks like they keep all the ingredients and drinks regularly fresh. Multiple employees kept asking me if I was ready. They were really attentive and through. I can't wait to return and try something else.“

Raw and cooked apps. 5 or 6 small plates and only 2 large plates plus a big sharable large plate (octopus) special for up to 4 people. “Wow! We ordered carryout from Ellie’s Tavern and were absolutely blown away. The food was incredible — huge portions, hand-cut fries, house-made blue cheese, and perfectly hand-breaded chicken tenders. The Crab Rangoon dip and Buffalo Cauliflower were outstanding. The service was awesome — fast and friendly — even while busy. We can’t wait to dine in next time. What an awesome Canton neighborhood gem!“

“I work at the Port and love to have the convenience of this restaurant. They also take care of paperwork copying for truckers which is much needed. Very friendly atmosphere and the food is delicious. Very wide variety also. I just wish they were open longer hours. God bless to those workers due to the bridge collapse. I hope it doesn't close the restaurant too long. God help all the Port workers including myself.

“Always an amazing meal at Mission! We enjoy it every time, and the only thing that would make it more enjoyable, would be some handcrafted Mission BBQ PICKLES. That would be a huge addition to the menu, be it dill or some other style. Just enough of a vinegar crunchy bite to perfect an already perfect meal!“

We decided to try the actual restaurant part tonight for dinner. The food was outstanding and our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Very lively, festive atmosphere, but my one complaint is, MAN, was it loud in there. My daughter spent the first 10 minutes after we got there holding her ears because it was so noisy. First off, the young gentleman at the front was the friendliest and most personable person I've ever met at any restaurant. He got us waters and menus and made small talk with us. We got the garlic knots. UPC sampler and a whole pepperoni. Everything was soooooo good!! We had so many leftovers too! What a great find!! This is a small business owned and operated by local WOMEN. I've had the chance to chat with both lof the owners, Jane and Lindsay, and their passion and thoughtfulness is genuine and heart warming. Jane, even teared up as she described her desire to be a safe, comforting place for the patients, their families and the staff of KKI.

If you are in the area I would encourage you to stop in, you will not be disappointed.

And if you happen to be at KKI for not the best of reasons, and need a little uplifting, stop in and just have a chat with Jane. I promise you will leave with a smile on your face!

I can't say enough about the quality and creativity and the utter deliciousness of everything I've tried at The Nook; from the Harvest Salad with crispy chickpeas to any of the variety of chicken salads (my favorite is the Curry chicken salad on a spinach wrap!), to the banana pudding and French toast. Every bite is a treat to the senses.

I've been to their downtown, UMD-Bio Park location as well and it's also amazing. Plus at the Bio Park you theres patio seating and you can even get a glass of wine or cold local beer with your lunch 😉.
