“Cakes Plus provided a wonderful cake for my son's wedding several years ago, so my son recommended the bakery when I wanted to purchase a cake for my grandson's 30th birthday. I knew the words I wanted written on the cake, but didn't have a design in mind. Many, many thanks to Hannah for her patience and for helping me nail the perfect design!! Everyone loved the vanilla sheet cake. (See picture.) It was beautiful and delicious. Then, when I went to pickup the vanilla sheet cake, on a whim, I decided to also purchase a smaller, off the shelf, lemon cake with a balloon design. People who tried both cakes at the birthday events said both were amazing, but they loved the taste of the lemon cake more than the vanilla. I wish we weren't limited to rating this bakery 5 stars! Stop in Stoltzfus Bakery at the Dutch Market in Laurel Md. Old fashioned Baked items of all kinds, at a great Market, Twenty minutes from B’More and DC, just a couple miles from 295 or 95 making it the easiest Md Farmers Market to get in and out of. On 198 across from the Laurel Horse Races. Talk to authentic Amish owners, Ben or Ike while you’re there. Cakes ,Pies, Quiches, Cupcakes ,Loaves, Cookies, Muffins, Whoopies, Fry Pies, Fresh Doughnuts, Custom cake decorating upon request and much much more. Plenty of parking and refreshments.“

I was looking for a bakery that could provide specialty cupcakes for a prom but didn't realize how challenging the request would be. The cupcakes were much larger than I expected (more like muffins). My guests enjoyed the icing but found it difficult to eat the entire muffin. The presentation was also a bit disappointing but served its purpose. “One of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to. The line might seem a bit intimidating, but trust me, it’s worth it. There’s a line for a reason. Not only do they have some of the most fun specialty drinks I’ve seen (sipping on a Fig Chai Fog right now), but the food is orgasmic. This morning, My boyfriend got us a bunch of things to split, including the breakfast sando. The fact he even gave me half of this is commendable. If I tried it first, just like he did, I would have hidden the rest for myself because there’s no way would I share it. It is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The chipotle pepper jelly makes me want to do cartwheels. I also highly recommend the crab dip bagel, but really anything you get will be amazing. Always the best service too! Super sweet workers. If I was nonstop customer facing I don’t know if I would have a smile on my face like they do. Bravo!“

“Cinnaholic is definitely a step up from Cinnabon with way more flavor and topping options. The rolls are very sweet—delicious, but definitely more of an occasional indulgence for me. Perfect if you’re looking to treat yourself every now and then.“

“Lydianne's Soft Pretzels is to die for!

I am not a huge pretzel fan but for these pretzels I could eat them every day!
The dough is freshly made, soft. The breading is a bit sweeter than you would typically taste in the average pretzel. They have a variety of ways that you can have your pretzel. Breakfast themed logs in the morning with bacon, sausage, eggs, etc inside. Some sweet options like cinnamon and some savory.

They also have lemonade and tea to drink.

The service is quick. There is barely any wait in between ordering and receiving your items.

As soon as you walk into the Dutch market they will be the first vendor to the right.
