Alyssa is another fantastic worker and leader in the team. Always paying attention and focused on keeping everything in order and working efficiently. The whole team performs well. But she routinely performs above the standard.“

“I recently read an article that said the best bakery in Maryland is Ovenbird. They are wrong. IT IS THIS PLACE. Fantastic bakery -- the croissants are fabulous. If I had to critique the place it would be they need a 2nd barista, or a cheap intercom system. The tiny place only holds 6 people (and a dog!) and 5 of those are standing around waiting for their coffee.“

“We came to this location to try the Cinnabons at Cinnaholic for the first time. The location is great, right off of 301 but the parking is terrible. The store is clean and a good size to have a quick bite in. There were 2 young ladies working in the store. They were friendly and knowledgeable. I got the apple pie topping on my Cinnabon. They delivered it hot and it was very tasty. The inner part of the bun is slightly doughy which maybe by design. The taste is very similar to there leading competitor. What I will say is the owner was there and she appears to be a micromanager. Instead of greeting customers and explaining the extended period of time we had to wait for our food in a very quiet store, or helping her workers out with task, she leaned on the back counter and watched the employees work. I don’t think the franchise training in leadership or customer service was effective in her case.“

She created woodland/camping themed cookies for my son’s first birthday party and not only were they incredibly detailed and gorgeous, but they were so soft and delicious. “The only remaining Bakery in Md. for real home made Baked Goods, not commercial chemical preservative filled crap like the big grocery stores do it. Stop in Stoltzfus Bakery at the Dutch Market in Laurel Md. Old fashioned Baked items of all kinds, at a great Market, Twenty minutes from B’More and DC, just a couple miles from 295 or 95 making it the easiest Md Farmers Market to get in and out of. On 198 across from the Laurel Horse Races. Talk to authentic Amish owners, Ben or Ike while you’re there. Cakes ,Pies, Quiches, Cupcakes ,Loaves, Cookies, Muffins, Whoopies, Fry Pies, Fresh Doughnuts, Custom cake decorating upon request and much much more. Plenty of parking and refreshments.“

“Oh my sweet lord. I absolutely hate cupcakes- I’ve tried every bakery practically in Hoco and from here to the sun for good cupcakes that aren’t dry or that the frosting isn’t hard and flavorful. I was looking for a bakery that could provide specialty cupcakes for a prom but didn't realize how challenging the request would be. The cupcakes were much larger than I expected (more like muffins). My guests enjoyed the icing but found it difficult to eat the entire muffin. The presentation was also a bit disappointing but served its purpose. I purchased 2 dozen and still have an entire box left (last photo).“
