“This was our third time at Gary’s, and once again it was spectacular. Although your table has a primary server, the whole team works in concert to keep the customers happy. We had several special requests, and every time the response was “let me see if we can do that.” It just so happened that they could accommodate all of our requests. The food was fantastic as always. But the real magic happened at the end of the meal – just as we were asking for the check, there was a medical incident with one of our kids. All available staff immediately came to our rescue with resources and reassurances and enough bodies to create a privacy wall while we stabilized the situation, and I was able to get our kiddo bundled up and in the car in a hurry while my spouse payed the check.“

“We had arranged for a celebration of life and a buffet for a larger group of people. The dining area was very nice, the food was amazing and the staff went above and beyond. One of the staff even played musical chairs with our little ones. They couldn't do enough for us! We had a nice variety of food, something for everyone. They went beyond the call of duty to set a section of tables aside for us. Everyone was able to order their favorite dishes that were served promptly, hot and delicious. From chili to pastrami sandwiches to hamburgers and more we chowed down our food and raised a toast to Vena. Everyone loved their food! “I had a large catering order for a construction meeting in DC. They asked for something new. Since I love Julep's, I brought some for my customers. Emily was great from start to finish and helped me make a good menu. I asked for the order to be ready by 1030am and they made it happen. Everyone loved the food. You don't win friends with salad. Highly recommend!“

“I see a lot of these are older reviews and I don’t know if they have since gotten a new chef in the last 3 years but the food is phenomenal and I’m very picky! I look for things to not like and this is my second time here and can’t think of one bad thing. Service is good, but the food is literally outstanding. The mashed potatoes had great flavor as did the veggies - my steak was a tad overdone but it was so tasty it didn’t matter. Crab cake was filled with delicious lump crab! And it had flavor too — I also tried the Korean short ribs on special and they were just SO GOOD! The drinks are also delicious! And I stare at the dessert case every time I come in but I’m always too full to order anything. I guarantee they’re also to die for! Great place!!“

“This was my second time dining at The Lodge and the food was fantastic both times. I love the comfy booths and the quiet atmosphere there. Everyone from the host to the waiters are very friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that the waiters are very pushy about trying to get you to order extra things that you do not want. First I was offered 2 different kinds of water in fancy bottles, regular and sparking, which I'm sure were more expensive than the tap water that I requested. It was presented not as an option, but "which one do you choose?" I didn't fall for that one. Then we were told about a special drink that was available - no thanks. Next was a special crab appetizer that was described to us and then we were asked if we were "sold on it?" We were not interested. Then a wine was recommended before we even ordered. My friend already knew what kind of wine she planned to order and I don't drink! And then when we finished our meal our waiter told us that we could get some ribs to take home with us at a special price! He just would not give up trying to sell us extra food to try and make the bill higher! We didn't appreciate it and it put a damper on our dining experience! The food there is excellent, however it is very pricey. We love the ambiance there and the food, however the pushy wait staff has made us think twice about returning!“

“I would highly recommend going and when you go ask for a woman named Cory to be your server. She greeted my family and I right at the entrance and made us feel right at home. I’d say she was close to a kind reader as it comes because she basically knew what we needed before we ever said anything. Our drinks stayed filled and any questions about the menu we had she had the answers. The food came out quickly and was delicious. We will be showing our faces again and will be making Cory our regular server.“

“Ignore the exterior, this is the place for breakfast! My wife and I were in the area one day by chance and wanted something not-a-chain-restaurant for breakfast. A quick google search found this little diner tucked away on Camp Meade Rd.

It's not much to look at from the outside, which made me optimistic because some of the VERY BEST food comes from these little dive looking places and LL did NOT disappoint! It was clean, VERY reasonably priced, and clearly a local favorite. Obvious regulars had a fantastic rapport with the staff. Food was served quickly and virtually perfect in all respects.

Very much worth tracking down this little gem, and will absolutely eat there again next time we're in the area!“

There were multiple large families with children and it was truly a great experience. We went with just four of us and we could chat but otherwise listened to the great music and enjoyed our food immensely! The service was super friendly. The bathrooms were clean as well. We had a great parking spot right in the front. We didn't experience the bar area. The food was really good and they had great kid friendly options. Our waitress was great!“

Perfect salads (amazingly fresh)., the best crab dip ever, with both baguette and sliced cukes to accommodate by wheat allergic friend. all followed by a terrific cappuccino and exquisite cheese cake. Such a cosy cafe atmosphere - the kind of place where you feel instantly at home yet with a dash of euro sophistication.
