“Love going here, to me when I open the door and step inside, see and taste all the great Filipino food and treats, I feel like I'm back in the Philippines! These days during the pandemic when it's difficult to travel to the Philippines I'm thankful to have Filipino places like Red Ribbon near by, that satisfy that longing to be in the Philippines even if just a few minutes each visit. Love it, definitely recommend!“

“Finding a Filipino restaurant isn’t easy. So learning about Purple Patch thru Jo Koy—has ended this search! Literally, Filipino cuisine heaven! “Visited the café today! Loved the delectable and creative menu, the warm service, and the beautiful, cozy interior. We enjoyed the inasal, tocino, and ube latte (complete with delicate latte art) courtesy of Sun and Stars Coffee. Our kid was thrilled she could enjoy an ube steamer, too-- and didn't want to stir her drink because she found the art (Hiraya's logo in this instance) so beautiful. If you want reimagined, creative, and elevated Filipino cuisine where the flavors simultaneously bring back sensory memories of the comfort food of your childhood, this is the place for you. “A hole in the wall (or hidden gem, if you will) that is very homely and gives you a great diners' feel with the bar seats and 4 people tables. The ladies behind the bar dabbled in everything: seating us, chatting with us, taking our orders, cooking, making drinks, cleaning, serving dessert, and even manned the checkout. The Lumpia was made fresh (took a while to come out) so the skin was crispy, yet light and not soaked in oil. The Lechon (crispy pork belly) was exceptionally crunchy and the sauce added some tanginess that had me coming back for more; paired with the garlic rice, it was a great and filling meal. We also had the pork adobo, which was tangy and savory (makes my mouth water just thinking about it, while writing this review), again paired with garlic rice, the exceptional flavors were elevated. I highly recommend pairing their dishes that come with white rice, to opt for garlic rice. Lastly, we finished off the meal with a halo-halo, which is shaved rice with sweetened condense milk, ube ice cream, and assorted sweet jelly.

Since this is a really small establishment, I highly recommend only visiting with max of 4 people, to not take up too much space and to also ensure that you get hot and fresh food as they can serve it quickly.“

“This is the real deal Filipino food! It is high quality, fresh and delicious! We got a large catering order for my daughter’s birthday and everyone raved about each dish, in particular the chicken skewers, lumpia and lechon! Everything was amazing, the pork skin was so crispy, the seasoning was on point! We will order from 5Star again!“

“Everytime I come here, I am impressed. The food is authentic and delicious. Anyone at the bar will attest to it. The sound system is perfectly balanced so you can still talk to people while enjoying an event. Upstairs has all the cocktails you need and the deck is beautiful. But the late night kitchen is the cherry on top!

“Chicken is great me and my friend ordered from here he got the 3pc with fries they forgot the fries tried calling the store but no answer so I took off a star, also the quencher was delicious but the cup size was to small make it bigger please 🙏🏽 I got the spaghetti with a 2pcs the spaghetti was on the sweet side but not to bad service was exceptional I believe our cashier was kelmira she was great other than that we would really like the fries they forgot our order came up to $38 thank you“
