“I went today with my mother and I had the chicken shawarma bowl and she had the falafel bowl. I also had the garlic with fries. The food was good. The fries were crisp and not too salty. The chicken and falafel were fresh. I liked the Tahini sauce and the garlic sauce. This isn't our first time there. The last time we went my mother didn't enjoy it as much. I didn't mind it last time though, I thought it was ok. This time was better for both of us.“
“Great ambiance and service in this Michelin star restaurant with food to match. We got the tasting menu to try a bunch of dishes and overall thought the food was still similar to Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food I’ve had before but with a unique twist on the vegetable dishes. My favorites were the cauliflower hash (reminded me a lot of Gujarati shaak that I ate growing up) and the halloumi + muhmmara dips. Unfortunately, I thought all the cocktails were very mid, so I wouldn’t recommend drinks there unless it’s something you already know.“
“Visited Compass Rose in DC and indulged in their Tour of the World brunch menu. It was an exquisite culinary journey featuring flavors from around the globe. Every dish was simply delicious! The staff were exceptionally welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a delightful dining adventure!"“

“A warm and inviting bar with friendly waitstaff and killer bartenders! My daughter and I spent a little time here to savor a few cocktails and we loved the vibe. The patrons also seemed like fun people and the drinks were amazing. Don’t forget to have a Black Label, as it’s the “currency of the Middle East”!“
“Went for my daughter's birthday.Food was above average, the star i took away was due to kebab being burnt from one side ,but the rest tasted great .The ribs, adana and everything we ordered tasted like authentic turkish food. There was one man on the floor who was running like a headless chicken but was serving 6 tables. The place was jam packed and a bit noisy for us, therefore, took a star away. The manager was great because he catered my request.Overall a good experience.RecommenedParking: Parking lot right next to the restaurant. We paid $13 for 2 hours on Saturday. It was not charging hourly but for just parking so flat rate“
“I'm very excited to have returned to Sababa. For a bit I had crossed it off my list as they had implemented one of those horrible scammy restaurant surcharges and I will not visit any restaurants that impose those. However a friend let me know they removed it, so back I went!! Hurrah! The food is delish but I have to admit I really love the creative cocktail variety even more. Thanks for dropping the surcharge- I'm back!!“
“The food is delicious and the good thing is they give so much for a reasonable price. The ground beef and chicken combo is my favourite. The service is very good, takes very less time for preparation. The staff is courteous. Would prefer outdoor dining at this location.“
“Delicious! The portions were very large. I could of had another meal to take home. Everyone around me also got To Go boxes. Everything tasted very fresh. The chickpeas in the hummus were dried which was something I never had before and thought it added a really nice texture. The only thing I didn’t care for was the Pita. It was super thin and tough. I like mine soft and warm.“
“One of the best vegetarian fast food restaurants that serves delicious falafel is "shouk". The falafel made with a perfect blend of chickpeas, herbs, and spices, resulting in a flavorful and crispy exterior with a moist and tender interior. The texture is just right, neither too dry nor too mushy. Each bite is packed with a burst of flavors that will leave you wanting more. The falafel is also gluten-free, making it suitable for those with dietary restrictions. The presentation of the falafel is also impressive. It is served in a warm pita bread, accompanied by a variety of fresh vegetables, such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, and pickles. The falafel is topped with a creamy tahini sauce that adds a tangy and nutty flavor to the dish. The service is excellent, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who are always ready to assist you in choosing the best options for your dietary preferences. The restaurant has a clean and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a quick and satisfying meal. Overall, The shouk go-to place for the best vegetarian fast food falafel. Their falafel is flavorful, made with high-quality ingredients, and served with fresh and delicious accompaniments.“
“Love the bottomless brunch - lots of delicious small plates (small portions, order multiple if very hungry), great service, nice atmosphere, and lots of vegetarian options. Got the olives, bread, hummus, baba ganoush, brussel sprouts, red lentil soup, a spinach eggs Benedict, potatoes, french toast, and more - Can't wait to go back!“
“I went to this amazing Greek restaurant, and the food was fantastic! The service was great too. They have delicious gyro, awesome steak, and tasty fries. It's a must-try place for a fantastic Greek meal! Everything was enjoyable and top of everything in the area.“
“I discovered this place as I was going into Montgomery Mall, took a chance based on reviews and was pleasantly surprised ?. Absolutely amazing service, the staff are very friendly and the place is spotless. My lamb gyro platter was quite a large serving ( which I like) and sooo delicious ?. I will definitely be back to try other items.Kindly support ??“
“We stopped here to get coffee and a sweet treat and ending up getting the orange blossom croissant and morning bun, which was so good! We also got some baklava for some friends and family, which came in these really cute yellow tin box- a perfect gift!“
“Amazing falafel sandwich! High quality ingredients, and the falafels are perfectly seasoned. They’re crunchy on the outside and perfectly moist on the inside. The owner is super kind and generous. This place is super popular so get there early!“
“The food tastes very good. I was surprised there weren't more people dining in here, but whatever. it made service very quick. Falafel tastes really good, and I really like how they package up their sandwiches. I do wish the pita was warmed (it seemed cold), but everything else was great. The fries have a unique spice on them which gave it a flavor I never had (in a good way).“
“They offer various kinds of kabobs. We tried Qabili pallow, a traditional Afghan dish, and beef Sambosa. The ghabili came with shank and tasted good but was too oily. The Sambosa was okay in flavor. The food quality was okay, but overall, it was too oily. I wish they'd make it less greasy.“
“This is a great spot with a warm vibe. It looks small in entering, but there's additional seating in the back. The service is excellent too. The food came out in less than 20 minutes, and the portions are a good size. Just enough to fill you, but not so much you have leftovers. I had the salmon burger and fries, both were cooked perfectly - the fries were crisp and the salmon was juicy. Both were too lightly seasoned for me but still enjoyable. I appreciated that neither were salty. I'll be back to try other options.Parking: Street parking may require you to walk a few blocks.“
“Opened the shop 10 minutes after closing to make me a chicken shawarma to go on New Year’s Eve. Staff are always kind. Food is quick, generously-portioned, affordable, and delicious. I like having the option to eat outside when the weather is nice. A Cleveland Park gem for sure!“
“The food was excellent----2 -lamb plates and 1-shrimp plate. The lemon potatoes were different and delicious. The warm pita bread and humus was a great appetizer while we waited on our order. This was a great little place for lunch after a trip to College Park IKEA--very close. Only counters---no tables, but food is worth it.“
“Dining at shababi was an absolute delight. I came to celebrate after I finished taking my board exams and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. To start they brought some hummus topped with shredded beef and beat spread, which the former was my favorite. They later brought the roasted chicken which had been marinated for 48 hours plus. Every bite was so flavorful. As this is a pop up I recommend you go soon and get a feel for Palestinian food“
“Fantastic food! I ordered the kofta and yogurt drink. But the best part was the naan that came with the platter! Soft yet crunchy, fresh and perfectly charred. The kofta was seasoned well. And the yogurt drink was perfectly salted.Kid-friendliness: Fine to bring kids here, counter service style means it’s more relaxed“
“What I can't Say about this place .I am in love with their Falafel, Tahini, fresh veggies ?, pickles ? ,The Crunchy falafel, but above all the Zattar Fries ? is out of the Sensation.I am Officially inviting the owners to come to Jersey and New york area and we will get them the place and funding needed , this place should be In every major city in The USA .“
“When I first came to Shah’s, I did not know if it would be better than the competition. After taking my first bite, I instantly knew, that shahs halal was the greatest things Allah has ever created. Easily the greatest chicken and lamb platter I have ever had in my life. The greatest.“
“Delicious, generously portioned, and reasonably priced food in Ballston is a rare treasure. The platters can easily feed two people and are protein-packed no matter which option you choose. The naan and chickpeas are especially wonderful. We'll absolutely be coming back again!!“
“Stayed at the hotel next to Bawadi for 3 nights and ate their all three nights. Had something different each night and everything was very good. Staff was great. The food came out quickly even when we had a large table of folks one night. While they do not serve alcohol there is a nice craft beer place right next store.“
“Nice place. Friendly staff, good pricing. They add sour cream to the shawarma instead of mayonnaise. So be cautioned.Parking: It's a nice and cozy place. Authentic shawarma flavor except the sour cream replacement for mayonnaise. It's still delicious and a must have for those chasing authentic Arabic flavors.“
“The service was good. The guy who I assumed was the owner was friendly and had a "dad" vibe! The food was another story! I loved Ash reshteh and my husband loved his Kalleoacheh! But my Koobideh was mediocre at best! It was super dry and I had to eat it with a tone of sumac. I wonder why they named it Kabob bazzar while their Kabob is not their best suit!We will probably go back but I will order stew next time.Vegetarian options: Ash ReshtehMirzaghasemiKashk bademjaanKid-friendliness: There were some kids aroundWheelchair accessibility: It's on the first floor, no steps.“
“Delicious food, beautiful presentation, affordable prices. Also get free baked goods and some sauces. First time eating Middle Eastern rice, the rice grains are longer, slimmer and lighter than Asian rice grains, quite delicious and refreshing. Friendly employee. Good space, good music.“
“Halal Brothers is one of the best hidden gems in Silver Spring! I always get the delicious chicken over rice. The chicken is always ultra fresh and perfectly cooked, portions are large, the white sauce and spicy sauces are incredible, it's balanced with the perfect amount of rice and greens, the price is low cost, and the owners are very friendly and kind. Highly recommend to all!“
