With the sun shining, I wanted to soak up the weather in a relaxed atmosphere, away from the usual hustle and bustle, and Moreland's Tavern delivered just that! Having been here numerous times before, I've always left satisfied. This time was no different. For lunch, I opted for the blackened catfish sandwich with a side salad, accompanied by a selection of drinks: a spicy pineapple margarita, a strawberry shrub, and a rose. (Its just one of those days, that a girl goes through when I'm an....nevermind iykyk lol) The catfish sandwich was delicious, though just a tad soggy due to the sauce. However, the side salad was fantastic - a perfect start with its darker leafy mixed greens, packed with nutrition. Now, onto the drinks. While the spicy margarita wasn't the best I've ever had, it still hit the spot, albeit not as spicy as I'd hoped. The Strawberry Shrub was a fruity delight, not overly sweet, which I appreciated. Service was impeccable, with a friendly and attentive waitress ensuring my meal arrived promptly. The atmosphere was relaxed, with families mingling around, creating a laid-back vibe. I'll definitely be returning for another visit. Moreland's Tavern strikes the perfect balance between family-friendly and relaxed ambiance.“

“We came from out of state (NC) and just happened to Google bars around and this popped up. Hands down the best time we had. Luke, the bartender, was funny and amazing. We ended up going back the next day just to see him before we left town. Definitely will be back!“

“Northside10 - Bar and Grill but so much more! We happened upon this casual dining spot in Alexandria during a family vacation. Ambiance - casual, friendly, spacious with options. Take your pick of the covered patio, uncovered patio with umbrellas, bar area or general dining area. The menu has a great mix of bar offerings with some outstanding entrees that are worth trying. Of note: Crab & Artichoke dip (not your standard and a nice upgraded version!), wings, perfectly seasoned and fried oysters, shrimp risotto and grilled catfish. Wednesday is Raw Bar night with a delectable selection of clams, mussel, oysters and the like. Service - outstanding. They have a variety of special events throughout the year as well. it's the perfect neighborhood stop with excellent dining. Enjoy!“

“I'm passed the club days; however, I stopped in on a quite Tuesday night and it was empty but the late night HH sign lured me in. It was a handful of people but the guy behind the bar was cool AF and def made for a good night. His service wasn't like the club vibe since he came on the deck to ask if I wanted anything. All I know is he's from Nebraska and super friendly guy. I'd be back to visit just to pop in for a couple drinks.“

“There is nothing about this place that doesn’t merit five stars. The service from the bar - Chris, Olga, Jake, and everyone else- are friendly and welcoming. The drink selection is solid and full of favorites. And the food - good lord, the food is outstanding. The best cheese curds, top notch legit red beans and rice - there’s not an off note on the whole menu. Top it off with the fact that I believe that all of their sauces and dressings are house made - like I said, five stars all around!“

“A literal hidden gem - Tucked away beside the Pisco and Nazca restaurant and downstairs beneath the neighboring hotel (easy to miss). Reasonably priced drinks for the area, karaoke, and and an owner who was involved in helping out behind the bar, changing kegs, in the kitchen, and conversational with guest. If you need a break from the pretentiousness of DC this is the spot.“

“We wanted a dinner close to the city but not too far out and found this gem, care of Google maps. Everything looked great and was great. I'll definitely come back here for food. The atmosphere is a cool neighborhood pub/sports bar/jazz club which is unique but cool.“

“This was a nice spot that me and my boyfriend found just walking down the street looking for somewhere to go.We did hookah which was good and we spilt the shrimp tacos and jerk shrimp and crab pasta which was REALLY good. we wanted to try the salmon egg rolls but unfortunately they were out.It wasn't crowded and had a nice little vibe to it esp since we're a little older than the crowd that was there.Would def go again and would DEFINITELY get the pasta again tho I would also like to try other dishes as well.If you're looking for a nice, little spot, pls give them a try.“

“Just a great place to have a relaxing and informal meal. Good food, swift service, unpretentious atmosphere. Lots of TVs tuned to sports channels if that's your thing. If not, you can choose a table away from the bar. Decibel level won't be a problem.“

“I was hungry, so I asked a police officer where a good restaurant was. She pointed this place out and I wasn't disappointed. I had the Buffalo Chicken wrap; it was delicious. It's one of three old buildings nestled in between a bunch of modern buildings, which is cool.“

“Most of my time at Wonderland has been at night for drinks with friends, but last Saturday I popped in for brunch and was pleasantly surprised. We were able to sit on the patio because it was just gorgeous outside, and the vibes were immaculate. If you love people watching and dogs, the patio is the place for you! As far as food, we ordered the brunch burger, breakfast burrito, and a couple bottles of mimosas and everything was so delicious! The staff is super attentive and the wait time for food and drinks was super short, the servers are great! Will definitely be coming back for brunch more often!“

You first have to go to one of the sister restaurants next door, ask to be seated at the Front Porch, then they'll escort you back to the Front Porch. It's a little strange and we watched many succumb to this unnecessary back and forth.We all enjoyed our meals. The smash burgers were especially amazing! The menu felt a little limited in terms of selections, which is why two of us ended up choosing the burgers in the first place.All in all, a decent experience.“

The server and hostess went above and beyond to accommodate our group, which unexpectedly grew from 5 to 8 people during brunch. The server was especially kind and even took special care of my little kid, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, we had an amazing time at Canopy Central Café & Bar, and we'll definitely be returning for the stellar service we received. “I love this place man. Little tavern on the side of a liquor store. Not exactly a kind of saturday night birthday dinner place but youre not gonna find that in this area anyway. F*** national harbor. That whole area is trash. Seriously, this place has better food than any of those places. I've tried them all. I keep coming back here. And the service here sticks out in my mind as some of the best I've ever had. No lie. And I've been all over. I feel like they appreciate having me here as a patron. I love that.
