“The service was pretty slow, but the falafel was to die for. Perfectly crunchy outside and pillowy inside, and great flavor. The white sauce, which is essentially a thinner tzatziki sauce, was a nice touch and the rice and salad were good too. I had been in the mood for falafel for a while and this definitely satisfied my craving.“

“Hamza is the man! H&T Halal is the best Halal food truck in the area for sure, maybe the whole city. Hamza is friendly, offers quick service for those in a hurry, and his food is delicious. I can’t help myself, I get the mix over rice every time.“

“Souvlaki is the cutest restaurant in Hampden. At first glance, it appears to be a small bar with trendy touches. At least that's what I thought until I went to use the bathroom, which was spotless by the way. This place is huge with lots of nice touches that make it such a nice sit down spot. We ordered the spanakopita and platters to boot. The spanakopita was delicious. The pastry was super flaky with just the right spinach to dough ratio. My platter was huge. Honestly, we probably could have shared as we both had plenty of leftovers. My lamb was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I tasted the potatoes and honestly wished I had chosen the fries over the rice. The potatoes were nice and crispy whereas the rice had some type of mint flavor that i could have done without. It was not nasty, I just believe it wasn't my preference. The service was great. I saw that they had plenty of regulars. The music was pretty good too. I would definitely go back for sure.“

“The cheesesteaks and other food I have gotten here are so good. Sadly, the no "set hours" stated by owner and others is true. It will be open one night but then closed the next few nights. It's like, they make really good food, leave you wanting more, then disappear. “I am genuinely very wary of food trucks/carts. (I'm going to generalize a lot here but...) They are usually overpriced, portion sizes are never up to par and it can be a stomach storm waiting to happen. That being said, after a long night waiting in the ER, I was in an adventurous mood. So I tried Yomna's Halal cart and was blown away! Where do I even start? The price! The flavors! The portion size! I was wrong about it all! For about $10 I got a drink and a meal. I almost felt like I was stealing! The Chicken over Rice is a culinary delight of flavors! The perfectly seasoned grilled chicken, thinly sliced over a generous bed of aromatic rice, smothered in that magical, white, tangy, creamy sauce and topped with a flavorful (not too spicy) hot sauce providing a satisfying kick of heat! All on top of a bed of lettuce, that was still fresh and crunchy. It might be one of the best things I've had in Baltimore. This is a must-try! If you're into food cart and if you aren't and best of all, no toilet roulette!“

“This little establishment is nestled in a nice neighborhood with lots of foot traffic which makes it a fun place to dine al fresco on their patio. The sangria was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Gyro Sandwich and the Mediterranean Lamb Salad. Both were delicious. We had a couple of servers who were attentive and delivered prompt service. Enjoyed our experience.“

“Excellent food! I’m real picky when it comes to Jamaican food so it means a lot when I say the food is delicious—well seasoned, good portion. In this picture, this is 1/2 my take out plate. I got the oxtail with rice n peas and ordered a side of plantain. Hubby got brown stew chicken and we ordered the ginger pineapple drink and sorrel. I was pleasantly surprised that the ginger pineapple drink is fresh. You can taste the real ginger and pineapple and you can taste the ginger and sorrel in the sorrel as well. Whenever we’re in the area, this is our spot.Vegetarian options: If you’re a vegetarian then the escovitch dish is a good option for you“

“A great "out of the way" Italian restaurant. The food is enough and delicious, the outdoor "garden" area is pretty for cocktails. valet parking only. The entrance is a bit hidden however once you go down the hill the valet attendant will be right there to take your car overall, highly recommend.“
