“I consider Jackie and the crew at Hook & Reel Wheaton to be friends of mine. I work close by and pop in at the bar often. The Happy Hour, which starts at 1PM (yes, you read that correctly) has insanely low prices, and the "pour" on both glasses of wine and cocktails are unmatched. Great ambience, clean as a whistle, a ton of regulars at the bar and a Touchtunes jukebox on the wall to bring your own soundtrack with you. What's not to LOVE about this place? 🍷🍹🥂🍻🦀“

“I been going here since I was a kid and the food never get old. My favorite food to get in wheaton mall. They use to remember me back in 2018 when I use to go a lot but now they forgot about me sadly. 10/10 food love it a lot. “Recently came here to celebrate a friend's birthday, with my daughter. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was incredible! But the best part was truly our waiter, Adrian.
He talked to the kitchen about getting my daughter something off the HH menu, even though the time had ended. He patiently listened to her as she placed our order in French. And even brought out a complimentary dish of the incredible raspberry sorbet!
I'd definitely come back for the excellent customer service and the sorbet!“

“some of my relatives came from out there f town this past Friday and had the most wonderful time at Monty Alexander performance. Ambiance was great and performance absolutely wonderful in an intimate environment interacting with artist. My husband and I always enjoyed it when visiting this place. Most importantly i would like to give a shout out to the lady at the instant seats department. She was the mos attentive and accommodating person who understood our situation and made the changes necessary for us to attend event. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a memorable time with great artists and great ambience!“

The manager Imai came to our table numerous times to make sure everything was good. Please go to Miss Toyas in Silver Springs Md the food and customer service will not disappoint you.“

“What a nice meal! We ordered our meal to go and it took about a half hour to prepare. I got the Ocean Catch #A, which came in a big plastic bag! Perfectly cooked crab legs and shrimp and the seafood legend sauce was very tasty - it tasted like a mix of Cajun seasoning, garlic and butter. I got the mild spice level, which was flavorful but not hot. The potato and corn that it came with were also good. The seafood catches and boils seen to be the specialty and mine was worth the money. My husband's salmon was good but unexciting and would have benefited from some of the same seasoning as mine. It was also a small portion for the price. However, his New England clam chowder was thick and flavorful. My five year old had the fried white fish and seemed content with it. Although we did not eat in the restaurant, it was well decorated and looked inviting - hopefully I will be able to eat there in person soon! On a side note, they also have bubble tea, which was delicious!“

“worst service ever. My family and I actually had to walk out and we were a group of 10. They did not want to serve us and I was told I should of made reservations. I watched the waitress/server clean other people’s table and completely ignore us. A customer who was a regular had to wipe down my table for us (I should’ve walked out then )but we drove an hour to come here And we were trying to just deal with the poor customer service so we can eat. Customers that were seated after us were able to order before us and receive their food. when we finally had the opportunity to order food we were told that they were out of oxtails pork and fish which made no sense because people were still ordering takeout for the same items we were trying to order.. You would think we were sitting there for free meals. The waitress told me she was going to the back to check to see what they have but when she came back she went to the bar area and started taking someone else’s orders and completely ignored us .We ended up walking out with no apology given. She Just looked at us as if she was happy to see us go because she couldn’t handle a table size of 10 people. All we were trying to do was support our Haitians. Its a shame we were treated so poorly. I suggested this restaurant to my family who drove an hour to be treated so poorly .Do not visit this restaurant“

“Let me say this the food is great but the service was horrible. We waited almost 45 mins before we received our food. The waitress informed us there was a larger party on the other side of the restaurant, and that is why our food was taking so long. A paying customer is a paying customer whether the party is large or small. I would like to give one more chance before I decide not to patronize this Hyattsville location again.“
