5 Best Craft Breweries near Auburn

Side By Each Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
1110 Minot Ave, Auburn

“I stopped in here while passing through Maine. I'd heard some great reviews, and apparently every one was true. They have an extensive beer selection, and each one was delicious in its own way. My favorite was the Old Acquaintance barleywine (which, if you know me, isn't abnormal), but And If You Don't Like Yoga (piña colada beer) was a surprise hit. I wasn't hungry, but the food looked and smelled great. I'm a karaoke hound, too, but it's not Monday. Hopefully I can come back at some point. I tried to tip them, but they said they don't take tips, as the staff makes a full non-tipped living wage. That's reason enough to come here!“

Rusty Bus Brewing Company Brewery • $$
120 Lisbon St, Lewiston - 0.71 miles

“Absolute gaaaaaas brewery! Eric served me up a delicious Trinket Brewing Co. collab Dark Lager that was released today! Its called the Ofrenda Oscura! So good. This joint also has little board games to play, and a nice speaker that plays cool music! Right now they're playing classic Rock. I like the vibe. Hours are short today. 4-8! Will definitely tell my homies back south about this brewery!!!“

Nonesuch River Brewing Poland Brewery •
723 Maine St, Poland - 8.15 miles

“This place is recently taken over by Nonesuch River brewing. Menu is classic pub fare. I had the Duxelle burger which was pretty good and very close to rare, as ordered. Really wish that Restaurants started using better (sourdough) buns for burgers though. We also had the thin onion rings (no batter at all) which were nice and crispy (portion was large for 2 people). My partner the fried chicken sandwich which was nice and crispy with jummy classic coleslaw. A plus was that the buns were lightly toasted so they were warm. All in all a decent, if not special, place.“

“A very popular local choice. You're going to find the place buzzing most times with a foundation of loyal locals. This place is on the Maine Beer Trail so, if you're here for craft brews you'll need to check this place out. It's unique, beer is good, food is pretty good. Atmosphere is good.“

The Pub at Baxter Pubs • $$
120 Mill St, Lewiston - 0.6 miles

“The food was absolutely wonderful with quite a wide variety. The selection of drinks change per season the sign of a well adjusted public house. I especially like the variety of seltzers as well as beers on tap. The service was fast and courteous. Food always served with a smile and always willing to suggest selections from the menu. I can't wait to return. Trivia night I believe is on Thursday and always adds a fun atmosphere. Being inside a mill does not excite but their set up is righteous and welcoming.“
