“My girlfriend and I ate here for the first time to celebrate Valentine’s Day a week late as she works nights at Maine Med. We sat at the Chefs’ Counter and it was phenomenal. We are big fans of cooking and it was wonderful to see all of the different dishes being prepared and the chefs working as a unit and in unison. The service was fantastic, attentive and informal. We really appreciated Andrew’s suggestions both for drinks and dishes; he was thoughtful and informal. It was also great to have the dishes explained to us as they were served. The manager came over to check on our experience and again asked how our experience was as we were walking out. This was far and away the best dining experience we’ve had in the city of Portland, and since we are locals, we will gladly come back again soon.”

“It was a cold & windy walk home when i passed by Standard Baking Co and decided a hot coffe was needed. Of course, who could pass up a cookie or brownie to go along. I decided on the Raspberry Gallette and I am now addicted!!!! I either need to find an alternate route home...or add another 2 miles to walk off the extra calories! “Great ambiance for our group aged 14-75. The food is incredible with complimentary flavors. It has a neighborhood dinning feel with high end quality food. The staff RC and CT were very friendly, knowledgeable, inviting, not rushing of patrons, and a real joy and pleasure to speak with. I'd definitely recommend for any occasion or like us, no celebratory occasion at all. Great find for dining near where we were staying.”

“Outdoor patio is not enclosed (but there are heaters). Not sure why they would allow reservations on a night when the temp in the single digits. They were able to get us a table inside within 10 minutes. Beer is good if you like bitter, hoppy beer (I don’t). Our pizza was great and we also ordered a pretzel. Service was fine. Would come back for the pizza. Salads looked good”

“We had 2 experiences at this amazing restaurant in 1 weekend. First was a delicious lunch out on the deck on a sunny Thursday in October. Delightful mussels and a MOJO pork sandwich for him. Saturday was the wedding and it was perfect! From the food to the service to the fabulous weather, we could not have asked for anything more! It was exactly what our daughter envisioned, small, personnel and planned inside of 8 weeks! Stephanie was so accommodating and made sure everything was perfect. The food and drinks were enjoyed by all, but the oysters were particularly incredible straight from the Darmariscotta River. The location offered beautiful views, plenty of parking and a relaxing environment. Highly recommend for small gatherings and events. Thank you North43!”

“Our family had an amazing time at Gather last Friday. Krista was great to work with and helped organize a reservation for our party of 19 people. She was very accommodating and quick to respond to any requests. The spot is beautiful and the food was delicious. I think our group tried almost everything on the menu and everyone was very impressed. The food, drinks and atmosphere were all perfect. I would highly recommend for a date night or a private event. You won't be disappointed.😊”

“We timed our visit right and it happened to be Polish weekend. We enjoyed several well thought out themed plates and washed them down with a Grodziskie. Can't recommend this place more. Their IPAs absolutely rip and their Minimum series is the best low ABV hops you'll find anywhere.”
