“I recently visited Pizza By Alex and it was such a fun, old-school experience. The pizza is definitely unique with that signature Greek-style crust and cheddar cheese blend that I haven't really found anywhere else. It feels like a real local landmark where time has stood still in the best way possible. The service was quick and friendly, and there is just a great, nostalgic vibe that makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. It might not be for everyone if you're looking for traditional thin crust, but I really enjoyed trying something different and authentic.”

The pizza was cooked to perfection, with the ideal balance of crispness, char, and texture that New Haven-style pizza is known for. Every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh, and the sauce was especially outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly complementing the rest of the pie.

It’s clear that a lot of care and attention goes into every pizza they make. The quality of the ingredients and the execution were top-notch from start to finish. “The owner/bartender makes the best cocktails I've had in Maine. His drinks are super balanced, authentic and presented well with a focus on early 20th century classics. The environment offers the best ambiance around with a lounge, outdoor deck and a ton of "vintage" game systems to play with. I would tell more people about it, but I'm afraid once word gets out there will be a line to get in and a cover charge. 10/10”

“We stopped in while on vacation to do some market research, as we work at a cidery/brewery. The selection was outstanding. I stuck to the sours (the orange soda was a fave) but the stouts were top notch as well!! A very relaxed atmosphere and great ambiance. Week will definitely be back!”
