Chinese in Eliot, ME

“In Eliot at lunchtime, I stopped in at East Mountain Chinese Restaurant. After looking over the menu, I ordered the L.10 - Chicken Chow Mein with Pork Fried Rice & Chicken Fingers as the optional appetizer. It was $7.95. With 63 cents Maine Meals Tax, the total was $8.58. It was about a 10-minute wait for my meal. It was warm day, so I took my food outside to a little patio table outside. Everything was fresh. The Chicken Fingers were done to a golden color. They were thoroughly cooked. The batter had absorbed some oil, but most of it blotted away with a napkin. The chicken inside was moist and tender. The Chicken Chow Mein was made just the way I like it with lots of thin onion strips, sprouts, and a small amount of celery. It was loaded with strips and chunks of chicken that were cooked all the way through but still moist and tender. The Pork Fried Rice was also prepared the way I like it. It was a light brown. The cook went easy on the soy sauce. It had a good amount of small roast pork chunks. The chow mein noodles were good. There was so much food that I got three meals from the order. I had no complaints. I’d order from here again. I rate my experience at East Mountain Chinese Restaurant at 4.50 and can recommend the food here.
