“Went for lunch. They had an Italian ham, turkey, and roast beef, all on facoccia bread, which was new for me. Had a pastry, and it was excellent. They had a wide variety of donuts and pastries”

“Stopped in for our first time to grab some lunch, and wow! Absolutely delicious!!! We got the chicken salad and the Italian and both were the freshest tasting sandwiches we’ve had in a long time! I was so excited to see that they use boars head for their meat and it comes with a generous portion to say the least!! We are hooked!! The owners are very nice and transformed this spot beautifully! I can’t forget to mention that I had to grab the Shain’s of Maine cookie dough ice cream as a family favorite treat!! If you’re in the area definitely make a stop in!! I can’t wait to try more of their menu and the soups they have to offer!! 🙌🏼 10/10!”

“oh wow... what a find! We were looking for a seafood restaurant when passing thru the area and the name caught our attention. We had an amazing dinner! We both chose the seafood fettuccine, which was heavenly - incredible pasta and sauce topped with succulent seafood. Desserts were lavender creme brulee and white chocolate cake...Holy cow! Dinner and service were both top-notch.. and we can't wait to return!”

“I work at the Moffatt-Ladd House across the street and have been meaning to come over and experience their menu, as we often have overlapping customers. Our host sat us right away, drinks were fabulous, and all the meals were absolutely amazing! (I had the caribbean grilled swordfish.) My mom had been here with her parents in college in the early 80s and clearly Casey is carrying the mantle well. Thank you especially to our server, Rachel!”

“My love and I dined here last night. Our server was wonderful, and she enticed me with the Sea Bass Special. I've never ordered a special before, and..wow. The buttery flakiness of the fish, the perfect rice, and the bright salad dressing sent me to the moon. The old woman (delightful) brought us this amazing giant bread. Sara had the chicken kabob, and the meat was delectable. Our entire meal was amazing. $58 for two people (I had one Budweiser) is amazing. “I’m from the Boston area and was meeting a friend in Portsmouth for dinner. We picked Durbar Square and we’re definitely not disappointed. We had an absolutely fabulous meal there. The chicken chili was a delicious, and a different approach than any chili I’ve had before. The chicken was perfect cooked. The sauce was full of flavor. They also ask you to pick yours spice range from 1-10 so you can choose what suits you best. The owner, John, is totally engaged with his customers and if you want, can even demonstrate a yoga pose or 2 (which he is very good at). Just overall a great place to eat.”

I don’t know his pain, Or how many sleepless nights he had wide awake just pondering his place in the universe. I don’t know the curves of his body, or the edges of his wildest dreams. I don’t know how many times he said “I don’t care if you think my chickens too hot DAD I know there’s a place for my Caliente Poule!” I wish I did but I simply don’t know his family or friends and just how deeply he impacted their lives. If he made them laugh, or cry. Vacations spent making memories. I don’t know any of that. I don’t know how he lived or how he died.

“Two Bees was such a delightful find! Everything about them was perfection. Walking into the cafe, the decor is lovely with a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the river. The staff was so sweet and just lovely authentic people. But the offerings they had were simply divine. Their croissant was reminiscent of European quality, all their ingredients were fresh and tasty, but the best thing was their passion fruit tart- outstanding! Very highly recommend this place!”
