I read the one star review as well as several four and fie star reviews and my curiosity was sparked. My wife and I were visiting Maine and wanted to experience a little local color. We got that in spades. Brianna was one of the kindest people we have ever met as out of towners.. We had great conversations with her and others., We could not have felt more welcome. As for the”F” bomb, I say BFD. Places like Peppers Pub should be relished, not trashed. We loved this place!
A wonderful gathering place with friendly waitstaff and excellent tap and bottle beverage selection. I would definitely reccomend this bar for anyone seeking an authentic maine pub experience.

If you like to hang out where the locals go to relax it's the perfect place to go. The customers were courteous and helpful. You could smell a hint of cigarettes. But keep in mind it is a pub.
