Just straight up f#%king Kickin chicken!!!! It really is, Popeyes chicken is to die for!!!!
This review is for the South Portland, Maine franchise. Christopher our server was FANTASTIC!! Every time I go there, he's always great! And he's patient with the large orders when the customer is asking for substitutions. Food has been great. Happy to finally get a local Popeyes and I don't have to drive to the Kennebunk rest stop! And the South Portland franchise has the $5 BIG BOX!!
I wish they would have asked me if I wanted chicken with my mayo sandwich! I kid you not this sandwich was coated in mayo. I also asked for 2 biscuits and was told once I got them there was no butter! How am I supposed to eat cardboard biscuits with no butter! The surrounding tables were a mess. Was looking forward to this but I won’t ever eat here again!

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is a fast food chain with consistent quality and flavorful food. The Popeyes original chicken sandwich is a favorite, though orders can be wrong. For those originally from Louisiana relocated to Southern Maine, it is great to have locally, but a closer location is wished for. Some locations have staff but are "closed" and may run out of food. Despite this, locations throughout the country, whether brick and mortar or inside a truck stop, have never disappointed. An underrated franchise.
