The owner and staff are pure gold! We were unexpectedly without hotel accommodations on the first night of a 3 day motorcycle tour.
We were late comers in their door close to closing time to figure out what to do. They graciously welcomed us in, quickly provided us with hot coffee and delicious beef stew AND MORE IMPORTANTLY made our situation their problem to fix. This is one of our all time favorite places to visit. Jim and Judy are the most amazing hosts ever.
We stay here because of the owners and the location is amazing. If you want a friendly, unique, off the beaten path place, this is it.

Water Street Tavern and Inn offers a delightful dining experience. The haddock dinner comes with 2 sides, and the pasta with scallops dish is a standout, cooked perfectly with generous portions. Don't miss the Blueberry Margarita, a must-try drink. Reservations are highly recommended to assure a spot for a memorable meal, as it is a very popular and often full, lively, and welcoming place. The location by the water adds to the charm. Some guests find the food slightly overpriced, but many agree it’s worth it for the best meal of their trip.
