The food and views here are amazing. The chicken nachos, pretzel, and spicy chicken sandwich are some of the best I’ve ever had. If you’re in this area, it’s a must try. We went multiple times.

Based on the reviews, River Drivers Restaurant is a gem in the woods northwest of Millinocket. It is a nice place with good food and friendly service. The food is designed and prepared by a well-appointed chef and served in a rustic, back-woods motif. The atmosphere is incredible, with stunning gardens and a view of the lake. While the food is amazing, there is not that much of a selection. Meals are well prepared, served hot, and worthy of being on the menu. The Fish and Chips features large pieces of light, flaky haddock cooked perfectly. A special lamb burger with a pepper jelly spread and herbed greens is truly sublime, tender, and delicious. The burgers are delish, and there is yummy poutine. The staff are extremely attentive, always checking in to make sure drinks are full, though service can sometimes be inattentive after the food is delivered. It is a special occasion type of place and a top of the line option in the area.
