“First of all, great coffee and incredible pastries. After all, isn't that what you go to a café for? Prices are not cheap but I found myself able to live with them.

But, as the name suggests, this is much more than just a coffee shop. It is a very elevated and enlightened vibe here and the superfriendly staff are happy to share their experiences with you.
Taking a coffee shop stop to an almost spiritual level, with a dash of mystery added to the brew.

The atmosphere, in keeping with the vibe, is aesthetically pleasing in an almost tantric, hypnotic way.

“What a cool, unique spot to get drinks and desert. Highly recommend the mocha martini and the flourless torte. The espresso martini was good, but was very alcohol forward leaving me missing some of the classic espresso taste. The crème brûlée’s flavor was spot on, but unfortunately the sugar crust was a bit thick and didn’t shatter right. Overall a great little place!“

“We visited on a late Saturday afternoon in mid-June 2025.

We found street parking a couple blocks away. The cafe is in the basement of the museum near the bathrooms and water fountains. There is a large meeting room or lecture all auditorium thing we believe too just further down the basement.

We did not actually eat anything here but we did take a bunch of pictures hoping to help others out. We actually didn't see any staff while we visited and we weren't sure if they were already closed for the day or what.“

When I am in Biddeford, always specifically to shop at Market Basket; we always order food at Market's Kitchen. And the prices are as good as the store itself. You cannot get a Cheeseburger, French Fries and a 20 oz. Soda anywhere cheaper than here. And it's good. And if you want a comfort food dinner, this is the place to go. “absolutely the worst customer service. told it would be ready for 945 at 1000 was told it was given to another customer. while wait there other individual went up 10-15 mins after then proposed time and were told it would be another 10 mins definitely not going back“

“This place has great food. The Portland cafe is always crowded at the typical times people get hungry so plan accordingly. The wait is long at those times, but worth it. I’ve had the bagels (divine), the maple cream cheese (less so) and a couple of their melts and the Cape Cod chicken salad. The chicken salad sandwich is in a class of its own. Light on mayo, heavy on tastebud excitement, this quickly became a personal favorite. The multigrain bread is a meal in itself. Delightful! On one visit, I was waiting for a longer spell and had the chance to observe a busboy getting his hustle on behind the scenes and I couldn’t have been more impressed. I know this hard work from first-hand experience a million years ago when I was starting out, and commitment like his speaks to a core work ethic that is admirable and often hard to find.
