“Don’t let the unpretentious small space fool you. This is a real find. Our experience for lunch was outstanding. My turkey, bacon, pesto sandwich was delicious . The Sicilian chef clearly uses fresh, high quality ingredients and subtle seasoning all with an Italian flare. Tasty breads. Service was spot on. Will certainly return to sample the many other interesting breakfast and lunch offerings and fresh pasta for dinner.”

It’s fresh, you get big portions, and the sushi rolls are literally pieces of art. 💕 They have the most gorgeous across-the-bay view of historical Fort Knox State Park where you can sit & eat at their outdoor tables. Inside the restaurant is clean, cutely-decorated, a little historical jail cell to tour…which came with the building purchase…haha…and they even have free candy and goodies for customers too. The owner is very nice, and they work hard there.”

This is a small town with not a lot of dining options. There’s a fancy place up the street and a kind of an in between place further down the street but this is where local people come to eat. No pretension. Just really good food. And a friendly serving staff. We had the special tonight, which was their bourbon beef tips, pulled pork and incredibly favorful mashed potatoes. Food was so good. The drinks were generous and top notch. The strawberry shortcake, and I’m not kidding about this might be the best strawberry shortcake I have ever tasted. if you’re in this area, you owe it yourself to stop. Friendly place. Delicious food. You won’t be disappointed”

“The Fish Net has been an institution on the Blue Hill Peninsula for decades and there's a reason why. If you are looking for an authentic Maine experience you've come to the right place. The haddock is fresh, flaky and lightly battered. They let the fish shine which is what you want when you're having fresh haddock. The coleslaw is also great, it's dressed just right. I highly recommend getting a side of their coleslaw and topping your haddock burger with it for the ultimate experience! There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors as well as a small full service dine-in area. Make sure to save room for the Gifford's ice cream or soft serve! I always look forward to when The Fish Net opens for the season! Going to be dreaming of that fried haddock burger until we meet again.”

I had the crabmeat stuffed haddock. It was the freshest fish and the stuffing was actually crabmeat.

My wife had the pot roast. I had to have a bite of it. Talk about melt in your mouth delicious!

I got a piece of triple chocolate cake to go because lunch was so filling.

Our waitress was wonderful and the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting.

“Good pizza with the normal toppings... thin enough to fold, but not quite as thin as NY pizza (IYKYK). Their home-made chicken tenders with fries are a family favorite. The baklava is the real deal. Only order to go, but the staff are always friendly and curtious even when they're swamped.”

My son had a chocolate donut with sprinkles, I had a coffee…nothing special, but her genuine smile and offering to have a nice day had a rare authenticity that was something special. “Since covid I have not been inside not sure the atmosphere. 2 times the hot coffee has spilt in my lab once with a suit on..keep advising them not to fill cups as high cause the hot coffee expands the cover so it falls off. NO ONE LISTENS!”
