Rarely do I leave a review, but this place is outstanding and definitely deserves the hype! So good we returned for a second time over the course of our long weekend stay. First of all, the vibes inside this cute little café are immaculate. All the staff were warm, inviting (both times we went) and very attentive to provide a great dining experience. But let’s get to the best part, which is truly the food (the Como se dice Bon Giorno sandwich to be specific). The English muffins are made in house, and you can tell the difference! They take their delicious baked staples and curate them for the holiday/season. Is it a little pricier? Sure but nothing unexpected for dining in the Portland area, and the quality most certainly justifies the price. I highly recommend and definitely plan to return on following trips, as this is our new staple for breakfast in the Portland area!

Regardless of the controversial political stance they forced on customers, the food was just mediocre and seemed overpriced in comparison to much better restaurants within walking distance. Will not return.

One of my favorite places to gather in Portland. Gotta love a business that cares about community and is so very tasty. It's always worth a visit.

My local go-to coffee shop. Great baristas. And get the hash browns!

Our sandwiches were delicious- homemade English muffins- bakery goods are worth it! Stop by- you wont be disappointed

Great spot for a quick breakfast and staff is great! Almost everything can be made gluten free, which is a huge bonus.

They have really good breakfast sandwiches! The homemade English muffins are definitely a highlight, but they also have great drinks as well, I'm a fan of the Ireland Fog. The workers are helpful and friendly. I really enjoy visiting this place for breakfast while in town

There was one group in the cafe as I ordered. I ordered the number 2 breakfast sandwich a “muffin” and an iced coffee. The coffee was great but the rest of the experience was awful. It took 30 minutes to come out. The breakfast sandwich was one of the worst I’v ever had despite costing 13 dollars. The sausage in the sandwich was pink and cold in the middle. Sloppy put together, and tasted awful. The “muffin” was also just and English muffin with little to no taste. 25 dollars not well spent and now sitting in the bottom of a trash can.

Got the No. 2 bfast Sammy and a couple desserts which were all scrumptious. But BOY the service was slow. Sat down at 1030am on a Sunday with no wait, but it took 45 mins for the food to come out after we ordered.

The service at the ugly duckling was impeccable. The pastries were amazing. Everything in the sandwich was great but I was not a fan of the ketchup mustard sauce on the breakfast sandwich. Next time I will switch it out for some mayo or just leave it plain because everything else in the sandwich was amazing.
