Very cool spot with delicious coffee and in house made English muffins.

Came here with my girlfriend for breakfast on a Sunday morning - was very disappointed by just about everything. We sat at the bar, ordered an iced latte and a chai latte, two no. 2’s and an English muffin with cream cheese. Our lattes came out relatively quick, but were watered down with way too much milk. We then sat waiting watching them package to go meal after to go meal. Everyone at the bar was sitting there with no food, clearly agitated by the slow service. I watched food prepared for those dining in sit in the window getting cold for 10 minutes before they’d bring it to someone, which made absolutely no sense. Finally, after 45 minutes of waiting, they brought out my English muffin and my girlfriend’s no. 2. The English muffin was fine, but my girlfriend’s sandwich was disgusting. The sausage was undercooked, the muffin dry - she said it was barely edible. After another 15 minutes of waiting for my sandwich we decided to pay and leave. They apologized for the long wait and blamed it on being busy on the weekends, but it was clear the restaurant was just poorly run. You can do better than this gimmicky spot, don’t come here.

We we entered the coffee shop we stood at the order for pick up area for about 10 minutes and did not get greeted (though someone passed us repeatedly). After that we went to the counter, where after 3-4 minutes the girl finally asked us if we were dining in or ordering to go. When we said to go she directed us back to the front register. It was a few more minutes before we were able to order. We ordered 3 different style lattes. When I received my chai (hot, ordered with oat milk) it was not hot (barely warm) and tasted like they used half and half (what my husband ordered in his iced latte) rather than the oat I ordered. I could barely taste any chai at all. Worst chai I’ve ever tasted unfortunately. My husband said the espresso in his salted caramel iced latte tasted good, but he couldnt taste any actual flavoring otherwise, no sweetness or salted caramel taste. My daughters iced vanilla latte was fine. We did not order anything to eat, but based on this experience we would not go back. We didn’t mind the wait so much, as they seemed fairly busy, but bad drinks after a 20-25 minute wait was disappointing.

We love the ugly duckling! The BEST breakfast sandwiches and English muffins plus a different crème puff every day that is TO DIE FOR! 💗

Love the atmosphere and overall vibe. Cute little details like Lego walls built into the holes in the brick wall. Wonderful sandwiches and super creative and delicious drinks. The real standout was the service. Cyr expertly and genuinely addressed our every need with a smile even in the midst of a staff shortage. Our brunch was one of those rare experiences that I walked away from, exited satiated and have talked about dozens of times. We'll be back!!

No breakfast sandwich, no matter how good, is worth over an hour wait!! Our waitress apologized and said they had a lot of takeout orders, but they shouldn’t be prioritizing take-out over dine-in orders, especially when your diners have been waiting for their food for close to an hour. I’ve worked in a kitchen and that’s a no brainer. And maybe have more than 2 cooks in the back on a busy weekend morning! They also never came back with the check so we had to go find someone to pay.

If we hear the service gets any better maybe we’ll be back, until then it’s a pass.

So, I am a door dasher I came in to pick up an order. They was about 10 minutes behind which is understandable. I then wanted to tried one of there maple bite that seems delicious. I only had 5 dollar on me. I asked if they can do a discount because I been waiting for a while and I am working for them and figure it would be appropriated. The manager did not see that my request was reasonable. So I was rejected the 56 cent discount. I am very disappointed and confused on how a business would reject an accommodation considering I been waiting. For 15 mins

Awesome breakfast sandwiches! By far the best breakfast I had in New England. A true Portland hidden gem.

The drinks were delicious (espresso tonic & Ireland fog)! Even with a full restaurant, they were quick to serve food, friendly, and attentive. It’s a nice cozy spot to start your day in

Came here on a Sunday morning, so take this review with a grain of salt. It was busy, but we were seated right away. We ordered at the host counter before sitting, in order to speed up the process. Unfortunately, we didn’t get our food for an hour and a half. We ordered two egg sandwiches, without any special requests, so I’m not sure why it took so long. Even though it was busy, the restaurant is pretty small, and there were probably 30 people there total. The sandwiches were pretty good, so perhaps during the week it’s a safe bet. I would avoid on saturdays and sundays or call ahead for a to-go order.

The vibe is very trendy and instagrammy, which is not my taste but no hate. As a warning, the music was loud hardcore techno. Not sure if that’s always playing, but if you’re looking for a casual Sunday morning breakfast, I would not recommend this place (especially if you had a few drinks the night before).

The staff were all very nice and hardworking, so I don’t mean any disrespect. Seems like a volume/operations issue for egg sandwiches to take so long. Perhaps I’ll try again mid-week when they are less busy.

Very cute little queer friendly and affirming coffee shop/eatery/diner in Portland! We stopped in while in town visiting for some caffeination. These had to be one of the most perfectly made lattes we've ever had. Milk properly steamed to perfection, without any sweetener it wasn't the least bit bitter and had the best flavor ever. Service was extremely welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere, even just while waiting to get our drinks, was very cute. We'll definitely be stopping back in when we are in the are.

Parking: Street parking only and it looked in short supply, however, we got lucky and got an open spot right in front of the shop.

Desayuno del Sol was pretty good, I wish it had a sauce on it though. Service was slower for only having 6 other customers, but it seemed like they were training. It was nice to walk in and have a bunch of space at the bar, I don’t think it’s worth the wait if it was busy.
