The Pad Kapraw has SO much flavor. It is spicy and just a hint sweet and there are plenty of veggies and nice tender slices of chicken. So good. ?

Wanted to love this place because of the idea of it being a Thai shack by the ocean but I just don't love fried food that much. It seems like they have pre made pad Thai or fried rice and they fry up whatever you want on it after you order. Scant amount of veggies so I was glad we also got an order of fried green beans. My husband refried the leftovers with more spice and finished it off.

We stopped for lunch. They are located near the ferry service to Vinalhaven. They have great tables and benches made from pieces of granite. They have some Thai food and some haddock, shrimp, and scallops. All are very good.

Ordered the crazy rice and figured I’d try it with clams given the location. It sure was interesting, but delicious. Looking forward to going back soon and trying the rest of the menu.

Just stay away, don't do it. Maybe this is the time to take up with that intermittent fasting you've been hearing about. If you're that famished try gnawing on your leather belt or wallet to pull you through or better yet there's a passable Thai restaurant less than 5 minutes away. You've been warned.

I wish I had seen that the few negative reviews were also the most recent. I had no previous experience with the place, so I don’t know how it was a few years ago when the positive reviews ere written. Nothing of the subtlety or lightness of Thai food was present. One nice touch was that the fried chicken was packed separately form the moist entrée so it would get soggy (takeout order). But other than that, it tasted reheated and salty, and it wasn’t inexpensive. We only pop into Rockland one day a year, so was disappointed that this was our lunch. Service at the counter was friendly, but would not go again.

Great little place to get food while you wait to hop on the Ferry. Place sits in a small corner so if you're not a local , you're not going to find it. Give this place a chance and you'll love it.

If you want to spend your money at this establishment good luck to you…

Terrible. It was more or less bbq sauce on Thai noodles, squishy chicken, with sliced carrots and snow peas. I've never had pad Thai look or taste like this. No peanuts, no sour, or salty taste that you should get. The sweet, sour, and salty combination that is supposed to be there was not. They had crispy chicken option, which I agreed to. Come to find out, it was just deep fried chicken tenders on the side...

Best Thai food I’ve ever had. If you order the crispy chicken it comes on the side and, you guessed it, is the best chicken I’ve ever had. This is where you want to eat.
Absolutely delicious! You have to try the egg roles

We got fried shrimp and Pad Thai. Was very good and enough to split for two people "for a lunch serving".

Borderline inedible. They use frozen food and fry it for all dishes. Including seafood! In Maine. Inexcusable in my opinion. Sauces seem to be almost canned. Setting is quite nice but food is really no better than the cheap frozen section at the supermarket. Don’t bother with so many amazing places close by

Fresh and authentic! Sue and her husband are working their tails off to keep up with the demand. Great location too!

This delightful Thai takeout stand sits just off Lermond Cove at the Maine State Ferry Service terminal in Rockland. Don't wait until you're headed out to North Haven or Vinalhaven on a state ferry. Don't wait until you need to swing by Knight's Marine to get on a friend's sailboat for a ride. Head to the Thai Tugboat now for your Thai fix. On a nice day, there are picnic tables. Some people pick up their meal and drive off. Others just sit in their car or truck, and scoff down the delicious. On my most recent trip, I sampled two choices: the curried fried rice with steamed vegetables and with fried shrimp. So good. Huge servings. Perfect scrambled eggs and the best part: really fresh just-barely-stir-fried crunchy vegetables: broccoli, green beans, onions, cabbage, carrots. And the curry flavor was perfect. Yummy.
