We were at Charlotte’s on Wednesday 8/20 there were 4 of us and even though it was a little on the cool side, we totally enjoyed our meals. Our meals consisted of fried shrimp & clams, a hot dog and fresh lobster rolls along with French fries, coleslaw and pickles with the sandwiches. Price was comparable with other restaurants in the area. Plenty of parking and room to move around. A great place to watch the power of the ocean.
Came upon this diamond in the rough by total accident and we were so happy we did! Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere. Will be back!
The best lobster and the most friendly and outgoing food establishment in Maine!
My wife and I had an awesome experience while eating there.

Charlotte's Legendary Lobster Pound is a cozy spot near Bass Harbor Head Light, ideal for enjoying a delicious meal. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making sure guests stay warm and dry even on cold, rainy days. The outdoor seating area has some heaters, allowing diners to enjoy their meals comfortably while taking in the stunning view. Lobster rolls are a must-try, and many believe they are the best they have ever had, with options for both mayo and butter-based styles. Guests have also enjoyed the foot long crab roll, which is noted for its generous amount of crab and is definitely worth trying. The menu features other options like a freshly made haddock sandwich, mac and cheese, and blueberry pie, making it a great choice for everyone. Although prices might be a bit steep, the generous portions of lobster and the quality of the food make it worthwhile. It is important to note that seating is limited, especially since only outdoor seating is available at this time. While the restaurant may close for the season, it is highly recommended to visit when they are open in the spring.
