Dining at Little Fern was also a highlight—delicious food, elegant ambiance, and top-tier hospitality. But what truly made our trip unforgettable was our charter with Lady A. We were lucky enough to set out with Captain Alwyn, a knowledgeable and passionate local who brought the beauty of the area to life in such a personal and engaging way. From hidden coves to sweeping coastal views, every moment on the water felt like a scene from a dream. Captain Alwyn’s expertise, warmth, and deep roots in the community made the experience both relaxing and enriching. If you’re staying at the Claremont, I can’t recommend this experience enough. Treat yourself to a day on Lady A—it’s a must-do, and one of the most memorable parts of our Maine getaway.“

“We were at Charlotte’s on Wednesday 8/20 there were 4 of us and even though it was a little on the cool side, we totally enjoyed our meals. Our meals consisted of fried shrimp & clams, a hot dog and fresh lobster rolls along with French fries, coleslaw and pickles with the sandwiches. Price was comparable with other restaurants in the area. Plenty of parking and room to move around. A great place to watch the power of the ocean.“

What really made the experience stand out was the customer service. Our cashier, a wonderful Jamaican woman, was so warm, personable, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. She made us feel genuinely appreciated as customers and brought such positive energy to the restaurant.

The cook was also fantastic and took the time to give us recommendations, which ended up being spot on. You can tell the staff truly care about the customer experience and take pride in what they do.We’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in Bar Harbor!“

She has an incredible vision and the skill to create stunning tablescapes. I had a general idea of what the table would look like, but she went above and beyond—it was even more beautiful than I imagined. “Cute spot in town with very reasonable prices and portion sizes for the area. The blackened fried haddock sandwich was phenomenal and so filling! The side salad was quite overdressed, so I would ask for dressing on the side next time. We also had the fried pickles as an appetizer, which were ok, and my friend had the wings which were decent as well. The wings are fried and seasoned but not sauced. If you’re wanting saucy wings you can get Frank’s on the side. The server was so sweet and attentive and we really enjoyed the vibe of the place overall. I will be back if I’m in the area!“

“Wicked awesome to find a restaurant that has great food, is reasonably priced (for Bar Harbor) and also caters to food allergies! I’ve recently come up with some food sensitivities and can no longer have gluten or dairy, and these guys acted like it was no big deal at all. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!“

“Got to the restaurant just before it opened so we had a chance to walk around for a bit. Very nice location but limited parking. Once it opened we were served pretty soon considering one woman was doing everything including setting up the bar. We had a nice chat with her and she told us about the very good water they get and we ordered a bowl of oyster stew and their special mushroom burger. The burger was one of the better burgers I've had for awhile and my daughter was amazed by the quantity and quality of the oysters in the stew. We left as they were getting busy and spent some time at the wall a short distance away on Seal Cove. What a great view and so relaxing!“

“It was our first day in Bar Harbor and we chose Galyn’s for dinner. It was delicious. We sat on their front porch overlooking the harbor. “Stopped in for lunch after arriving to bar harbor. This place was great. Clean New England beach decor and vibe. Dishes came out quick and well plated. The fish and chips were good and the tartar sauce and slaw good as well. Adult Kids got the crab cakes they said were a bit bread-y but still delish. A great start to our bar harbor vacation.

Thursday Night was Karaoke Night!
They keep many good Craft Beer options on tap or offer cans for even more Craft options. Made some friends as we got the karaoke going strong. Both Locals and us tourist had a great time. We did not try any food as it was late, strictly there for Karaoke and Beers.
