“Hubby & I ended our wedding day with a trip to Beal’s to grab some lobster rolls & catch the sunset, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect end to the best day. Lobster rolls are the best we’ve had in Maine, blueberry cheesecake was amazing, staff was so kind and excited to have us there and we were seated at perfect, intimate indoor table with gorgeous views of the harbor. Went back the next day and had scallops & clams, and food was equally as amazing and fresh as night before. We LOVE Beal’s and will be visiting any time we make it back up to Maine!!“

“We were at Charlotte’s on Wednesday 8/20 there were 4 of us and even though it was a little on the cool side, we totally enjoyed our meals. Our meals consisted of fried shrimp & clams, a hot dog and fresh lobster rolls along with French fries, coleslaw and pickles with the sandwiches. Price was comparable with other restaurants in the area. Plenty of parking and room to move around. A great place to watch the power of the ocean.“

The rooms were beautifully appointed, the service was attentive and warm, and the location couldn’t have been more picturesque. Every detail felt thoughtful and refined. Dining at Little Fern was also a highlight—delicious food, elegant ambiance, and top-tier hospitality. But what truly made our trip unforgettable was our charter with Lady A. We were lucky enough to set out with Captain Alwyn, a knowledgeable and passionate local who brought the beauty of the area to life in such a personal and engaging way. From hidden coves to sweeping coastal views, every moment on the water felt like a scene from a dream. Captain Alwyn’s expertise, warmth, and deep roots in the community made the experience both relaxing and enriching. If you’re staying at the Claremont, I can’t recommend this experience enough. Treat yourself to a day on Lady A—it’s a must-do, and one of the most memorable parts of our Maine getaway.“

“Stopped in for lunch after arriving to bar harbor. This place was great. Clean New England beach decor and vibe. Dishes came out quick and well plated. The fish and chips were good and the tartar sauce and slaw good as well. Adult Kids got the crab cakes they said were a bit bread-y but still delish. A great start to our bar harbor vacation.

“Just had a top notch dinner at Havana. And as someone who has to eat gluten free I was so impressed when the waiter brought out gluten free bread for me when he brought out bread for the table AND my own butter/spreads for it so there wasn’t cross contamination. Every dish we ate was amazing. Do not overlook the vegan option! My daughter (not vegan) thought it was one of the best meals she has eaten in years.“

“I was hesitant about taking my young family here, but the loft did not disappoint! It's a new family favorite in Bar Harbor, and I have converted to loving seafood and the raw menu because of the loft! The ahi tuna nachos were a hit all around and a big recommendation to try! We can't wait to go back! The staff and food was amazing, and they even catered to my two children (1yr and 4yrs old).“

“Cute spot in town with very reasonable prices and portion sizes for the area. The blackened fried haddock sandwich was phenomenal and so filling! The side salad was quite overdressed, so I would ask for dressing on the side next time. We also had the fried pickles as an appetizer, which were ok, and my friend had the wings which were decent as well. The wings are fried and seasoned but not sauced. If you’re wanting saucy wings you can get Frank’s on the side. The server was so sweet and attentive and we really enjoyed the vibe of the place overall. I will be back if I’m in the area!“

“Definitely on the more expensive side for the area but the food was delicious. Lunch for four on a weekday and it was incredibly quiet—probably no more than five groups were there the whole time. We ordered a set of garlic knots, two pastas, a seafood scampi, and a simply massive lobster roll. It was out in a timely manner and the food was piping hot. My scampi had full lobster claw meat and several huge shrimp. The service was great, although note that this was a quiet lunch, not a Friday night dinner.“

There was no one behind the bar when I went up to order, and it took me a while to find a server when I wanted to add something to my order. Still had a good time, but I certainly wasn't blown away.“
