“I've went in looking for fresh fish, we got it and then some! The service was very nice and if you ask a question they know the answer. Very clean and beautiful building. We grabbed a roast beef sandwich to share in the car for the drive home. It had Swiss cheese and horseradish on it and I'm mad at myself for sharing. I will drive all the way back there from Thomaston just for that sandwich. We both loved it. Can't wait to try more food. We picked up some halibut and some lobster/corn chowder for dinner and didn't break the bank! Love this place“
“I want to start by saying overall amazing food. Authentic and homemade like I was back home in Massachusetts eating at an Italian restaurant. The only thing I would change is portion size. I left wanting more food especially for the money I spent. Maybe a little more pasta in the dish would have been good.Service was great and atmosphere was great.“
“Good homestyle cooking at a reasonable price and plenty of it.Owner retiring restuarant up for sale. Looking for a new owner.Excellent wait staff always ready for some good hearted banter. FunParking: Newly paved lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp and handrails to doorway“
“North Beacon Oyster in Rockland on Penobscot Bay is an oasis in the off season of local oysters. Its also an oasis of great service and great food overall. Conveniently located on Main Street, the décor is a relaxed vibe for a smallish place. I choose to sit at the bar as a solo diner. The bartender was a major contributor to a great meal. Kim was able to offer up wine pairings for all my courses which were intelligent and spot on. I had the oysters (the Jalapeno and Cucumber mignonette was brilliant) , scallop crudo and duck. All were great. One comment was that the presentation of the duck was poorly made. The crudo looked great and delicate but the duck plating didnt have so much skill. The use of cauliflower, also white, with the polenta, and then a few sprigs or arugula did not do it justice, the pomegranate seeds add flavor and some color but still overall it looked crude. All that said I would certainly come back and look forward to it. Thank you for a great meal and experience.“
“My sister's and I had the pleasure of dining at The Dry Dock restaurant yesterday afternoon. The views from the restaurant of Rockland waterfront were amazing. Our meals and service were exceptional, best clam chowder around, great menu choices. However, the nicest feature of this restaurant is it's friendly and helpful staff. My sister has MS and we were struggling to get her in her wheel chair into the restaurant. The owner manager and staff came out quickly to assist us and get us safely into the restaurant while being able to maintain our dignity. It is so nice to know that there are kind people in the world who are ready and willing to help. Thank you to the staff and owner for a lovely meal and delightful afternoon celebrated with my sisters.“
“Perfect atmosphere, the food is perfect…cant describe such perfection. The chef is def top notch! The service is great, the decor is elegant and so fancy. This is a must go for dinner! Hands down! Price is the same as everywhere around- 28-40 entre or so. Dessert a bit expensive about 20$. They show online $$$$ but this is because of the 4 course tasting menu but I consider this rest $$-$$$ max. Loved it and will come back“
“Wonderful experience; great food, service, and ambiance. My wife and I stopped by Fresh and Co. right when they opened, at 4pm. We sat at the bar in order to take advantage of their happy hour offerings. Everything we ordered was hot and delicious. We ordered the truffle fries, Korean BBQ wings, and brussel sprouts off of the happy hour menu. The brussel sprouts were right up there with the best I've ever had. The fries and wings were also very tasty. In addition, we ordered up one dinner, the brazilian seafood stew, Moqueca. the stew was steaming, and heaping with large shrimp, tender fish, and tasty mussels. It was fantastic. Our bartender (sorry I didn't catch her name) could not have been more engaging and helpful. She not only informed us thoroughly about the alcohol offerings, she provided a lot of insight about the food offerings. Overall, great experience.“
“The waitress was average. She wasn't as attentive as she could have been. It was off season so we couldn't sit outside and see the ocean but you could sorta see it from inside. The menu was misleading. We thought we were getting six biscuits but got four because they label the prices next to the item with no money symbol to indicate that was the price.Overall, the food was fantastic. The bread was homemade and delicious. I personally had a chicken dinner. Think of thanksgiving but substitute the turkey with chicken. Best dinner I've had in a while. The food was great but service needs improvement. 4 stars. Thank You! ❤️“
“Hands down one of the best restaurants in the mid coast (and frankly, broader New England). We added the off-menu wine pairing to our meal, and the Sommelier (Stephen) was incredibly knowledgeable and fun which really elevated our dining experience. The oysters and caviar were unbelievably fresh, and our main entrees deliciously creative - our group of four had the Herbed ricotta gnudi, steak frites, and the special for the night which was a short rib with beef tallow marshmallows. Everything was perfectly prepared and expertly coursed out. We finished with a trio of homemade ice cream and a chocolate tart - both incredible. I couldn’t recommend the Salt Wharf enough - we will definitely be back!“
“Travel Nurse in Rockland and ordered a Sammy cheeseburger to-go as an out of towner, having no idea where I was going, and ended up staying to eat it fresh, and imbibe a delicious mezcal marg. Highly recommend for the food deliciousness, drink prep tastiness and qual, and overall ambiance. A+ 100% will go back whenever possible.“
“Wonderful service and very pleasant atmosphere. Kids were very pleased with the Mac and cheese and tenders. My husband and I had the most delicious Caesar salad and French onion soup! Recommend the lamp gyro and burgers. Worth checking out!“
“Since we are residents of Lincolnville and neighbors of the Whale's Tooth Pub, we want to support local businesses as often as we can. We are fortunate to have such a great place to have dinner in a comfortable atmosphere with great food and staff. We always feel welcomed.“
“One of my favorite restaurants. ..very cozy..."wicked" good food...and the best waitresses around. The menu has plenty to choose from....pastas, beef, chowders, seafood.....just too much to list. My favorite is the fried clams and lobsters....each time I go, I have something different. My mouth is watering while I write this review...lol. I also wanted to mention that they have an " all-you-can-eat Seafood .....but after seeing the supersized plate they give you to start off...I can't imagine many people being able to eat more. I have never had desert there....because I am to stuffed after what I eat of my order....and bring home a big doggie bag as well....to munch on the next day. You won't be dissapointed ...give them a try....and enjoy!!“
“I am a food connoisseur I have had meals all over the country and I am absolutely amazed!!!! We order 5 different meals and everything was by far the beat I've had and the service was outstanding Danielle are waitress was absolutely great I couldn't believe how delicious ever bite was !!!!“
“My wife and I came in 1 hr before closing on a Sunday night and we didn't know what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised that our hostess was very welcoming. We started with Cups of clam chowder that were served hot and reasonably portioned. We split a Ruben sandwich with Mac and cheese both were delicious. Our server was personable and quick and attentive and he also helped us with our beer selections. Overall we are very satisfied and can't wait to come back this summer ???“
“Had a magical lone lunch here at Archer's. Crab cakes were wonderful and trying the Blueberry-glazed salmon next. Got a small table right by the cozy stove looking over the water. Read a book on my iPad and enjoyed the relaxing view of boats passing and quaint buildings along the bay. Server was so nice too. I plan on making this a regular lone lunch spot to just chill and soak in the vibes and comforting local menu.“
“Probably the most decent spot for seafood in the immediate area. The fries were fresh and hot, with that special coating some places have on their fries. The seafood chowder was hearty and full of meat, although a little bland. The haddock nuggets were good. Decent lobster roll. Very friendly service.“
