“My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Red Sky last night. The pale yellow walls highlight colorful paintings by local artists, creating a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere. Diners ranged from casually dressed to more formal. We enjoyed excellent martinis, delicious appetizers, and a perfectly prepared main course—followed by a dessert we couldn’t resist. The flavors, featuring local ingredients, were outstanding. Service was impeccable—attentive without hovering. One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommended!“

“You must eat here! The atmosphere is lovely and laid back. The drinks (and mocktails) are wonderful. The food... the food is fantastic! You can't go wrong with the apps, but the Dilly Pickled Veg is the perfect little zippy snack while you wait for your dinner. The entire dinner menu is truly inspired. The bang bang fried chicken is always a personal go to... but I opted for the Crab BLT tonight and was blown away! My hubby had the Lamb Shwarma and practically licked his plate... the pita alone was a light, fluffy delight. “This was our last day in Bar Harbor and we sure picked the right restaurant to end our trip. Justin was our server and he was very friendly, explained the menu, specials and prices for lobster. “I was in town to photograph the NYE party at Side Street Cafe for the evening. My second photographer and I decided to treat ourselves to a reservation at McKays for dinner before we had to be to work and I can confidently say it was a great choice as usual! We both sipped on a delicious Hibiscus 75 (new favorite??). Our server was attentive, kind, and soft spoken. We thoroughly enjoyed his service! For dinner I had the seafood risotto and OH MY was that dish delicious!! Everything was cooked perfectly and I cannot wait to go back again.“
