The staff was so welcoming and quick to take care of us, which made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable right from the start. The food was absolutely delicious—cooked perfectly, beautifully plated, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The portion sizes were just right: generous without being overwhelming. I also loved the atmosphere! The music added to the vibe without being so loud that we had to shout across the table. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but this one did. “Cash only, but they have an ATM. Food is delicious and more affordable than a lot of places in the area. Everyone behind the bar has always been very friendly, starting with Rick who retired a few years and carrying on with the new bartenders. I also love that it’s been around since the 1930s, as one of the first bars around to reopen after prohibition. It’s definitely a neighborhood gem!“
