“Just finished one of the BEST Italian meals ive ever had in my restaurant going life in a place id never have expected to and thats saying something being a 1st Generation Italian coming from NY ! ViA VECCHiA is Portland, Maine was absolutely 10/10 on everything they did! We started with Meatballs, Whipped Ricotta & Grilled Octopus. The meatballs reminded me of my mothers, the ricotta was tremendous with truffle honey & sesame breadsticks and the octopus was grilled perfectly. One dish was better than the next. We shared ravioli with as an entree and we never felt gross like we ate too much. The portion sizes were PERFECT. Wrapped the night off with a espresso infused cheesecake over salted caramel. Wow. Staff was incredibly accommodating, professional and polite. Service was excellent! If youre ever in Portland, ME you must go get a meal here!“

“My fiancée and I were in town for the weekend. We hadn’t really planned anything so we were looking for dinner for her birthday. We called and they said they were full but bar seats should open around 6:45 which makes sense as it was a Saturday night. The wait to get a seat was quick and right at 6:45 as the host had said.
The staff were all friendly and professional. The person running the bar was fascinating to watch as they perfectly and neatly executed each drink.
We started with the focaccia bread. It was flavorful and soft. We ordered the polenta and gnocchi dishes to share. Both dishes were perfect. We both really enjoy trying new places with great food.
The food created and executed by these cooks/chefs was flawless. Presentation was amazing. Execution was very fast. Taste was beyond a 10/10.
Do not go to Portland without visiting here.“

“The pizzas were great, perfect crust and bake, great ingredients, perfect proportions. The staff were wonderful, so friendly and engaging. They have us tips on where to see live music and made us feel at home. The Pizzaiola brought out it pizzas. It was a great experience!“

“Had a wonderful family dinner here, young children included. Everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the garlic bread which didn't look like much and tasted much better than expected. Just wish it was served warm. The arroncini was crispy and cheesy and my mushroom bruschetta had my grandson, who doesn't like mushrooms, asking for more. The pizzas have a good balance of charred crust. Finished off with the cornbread cake with peach jam.“

Our preferred place to sit is at the bar where we know we will always get excellent service from our favorite server Sammy. Sammy always greets us with a friendly smile and remembers what we like to drink, she also remembers how we like each dish that is ordered prepared even if we forget to ask, she knows.
