“Wow this place so far exceeded expectations from minute one. We came in with my elderly aunt and everyone was so attentive and helpful. The hostess was able to get us seated in the tavern area fairly quickly in spite of them being very busy. The atmosphere was very interesting and there were intricate chalk drawings on the walls. The noise level was quieter than I would expect in a pub atmosphere so we were able to chat. The food was incredible, the oysters were super fresh and my only suggestion is to serve these with fresh lemon. For an entree I had French onion soup and a toasted mini baguette and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken which was also delicious and my aunt had the fish and chips which she seemed very pleased with.“

From the moment we arrived, the magnificent harbor view beckoned us to sit in a big ol’ rocking chair on the Inn’s lovely porch, cocktail in hand & relax completely into the moment. Oh & sunsets? Outstanding! Our first moments at Grey Havens were so warm & welcoming. Actually even before arriving, calls with innkeepers, Ali & Carlos, had us beyond excited for our initial stay. I say initial because of course we definitely will return & soon I hope! I could list endlessly all the delightful elements that the Grey Havens team have combined to create a place in which one can truly & gloriously unwind. From the lovely & cozy guest rooms to the gorgeous bay-windowed common room (with its stunning actual bay-view) the vibe is marvelous. Grey Havens feels quintessentially seaside Maine with just the barest but perfect touch of some lovingly placed & demure whimsy to intrigue a curious eye. Our initial stay dates did not overlap with Blue’s calendar, sadly. However the many tales we heard of Chef Esau’s creations have us drooling in anticipation. We will ensure we enjoy a dinner at Blue upon our return to Grey Havens.“

“I think one of the owners just needs to take a step back and humble themselves and understand that without employees you don't have a business, without patrons you don't have a business and when you treat your employees like they're expendable and less than, you're going to end up with a reputation, this is a small area, people talk and word travels quickly, so don't mistreat your employees and by all means respect them, because in the long run I don't think that a single individual could handle everything that goes on in the background. just because you have money doesn't mean that you're better than the next person because at the end of the day we all end up in the same place when our time is at an end on this world. humble yourself, because when you don't you fumble and it makes an individual look like a fool.“

“Was down in the Wiscasset area antiquing & decided to stop in to the Taste of Orient. Usually try to go there whenever we are down in the area. as usual we were very happy with the food, service . it was delicious & even had some to take home. The crab rangoons were delicious. The best we've ever tasted. Would definitely recommend. Will be back again when in the area.“

“I went to Peppers Landing at 11:30 for lunch and ordered the Brunswick lobster roll. The roll was tough and dry and I asked the server when this was cooked. They could only tell me it's reheated on the grill. This was The worst lobster roll I have ever had. The restaurant manager was gracious enough to give me a whopping $5 discount for the food. This meal was 30.00 including fries and Cole slaw. I will never go back.“

“We had the best meal here. You can't beat the the value. We had the 2 meals for $25. We each got a fresh salad and the 6 oz steak with steamed broccoli and garlic potatoes. It was delicious! The service here was also excellent. The wait staff was very responsive and friendly. We'll be stopping by again soon.“
