I can’t say enough how good our food was! Drinks were amazing as well! Fish tacos perfect! Onion rings the best! The Maple Bourbon steak tips are the best I’ve ever had! Give that cook a raise!! Thank you to everyone! As Arnold would say I’ll be Back!! Get to the Chopper!
I have lived in Maine almost my whole life (still working on that goal) I have passed this restaurant a million times, and just figured it was a route 1 tourist trap. Well a few Sundays back we were on our way home from Botanical Gardens, we had stopped at a place in Freeport at approx. 3 pm and they were closed. We were bummed, we just kept driving south. I said how about we give the Muddy Rudder a try. We were seated right away outside, very warmly greeted. Felt like family!!!...read full review
All around good place. The food was well prepared, and the service was top notch! Cudos to our server, Emma, and to the kitchen staff for a job well done!.

The location is excellent, with ample space for groups small and large. The menu has plenty of variety, and the food is consistently very good. The waitstaff are always pleasant, providing exceptional service.
