“I had the corned beef hash with gluten free toast. It was very, very good. I almost did not go here because the ratings were so bad, and the food I had elsewhere in the hotel was also not great. I didn't want to leave the hotel so I gave it a try. I was thrilled with breakfast. The corned beef hash was perfect, homemade, well seasoned. The gluten free toast was probably the best I've ever had. The servers were lovely. 10/10 breakfast I'd gladly eat it again.

Special thanks to Chef Auston for the Michelin star quality of food and services with a personal touch, Payton Taylor for ensuring seamless event setups and execution all around, Sarah Arnott for the most amazing guest services, and Gaye O’Neal for her warm and incredible leadership. Despite unexpected weather challenges on the day of wedding and reception, the resort team mobilized the staff that quickly restored everything to help carry the celebration forward. The Grand Traverse Resort team worked very well together and looked after each event to oversee that no stone was left unturned ensuring an outstanding setup and a memorable event delivery. “FOOD IS GREAT. SHANNON WAS MY SERVER. SHE DID A WONDERFUL JOB SERVING ME AND WAS VERY PUNCTUAL WITH MY FOOD. CHECKED ON ME CONSTANTLY MADE SURE I WAS SATISFIED. “While staying in Traverse City, we ventured upon this delicious restaurant. The food was amazing, from the appetizers to the entrees,to the sides, and the drinks; everything was delicious! I would highly recommend their Smoked Cherry Sour, the Smoked & Deep-Fried Wings, the Sword Fish & Black Lentils, and the Smoked Pork Rinds. And the staff? They were friendly and accommodating. We just might have to visit again before we journey home. There were additional items on the menu I was curious to try.“

“A pretty good spot. Most menu items are between $10-20. We did not order a burger, but there are 10 or so unique burgers on the menu. The jalapeño popper items (omelettes, burgers) really stuck out to me. I had the Philly wrap, it was great. Portions are not super huge, which is just fine. Cole slaw quality needs to be checked, that or it is just not their best item. The interior is very homey and will remind you of your home town diner.“

“We always have a great experience tubing! Staff are amazing and the hill is so much fun. They even added a snow machine! My only issue is the bathrooms. They aren’t necessarily gross, just older and not well maintained. It’s hard taking my smaller kids in them.“

“Best Burger in Traverse City!!! I had the Lumberjack burger yesterday for lunch. It was juicy. Mouth watering. Big burger for the price . No frozen meat patty. It was all Fresh!!!“

“This is a regular stop when we visit TC. The food is great, the beers are tasty, and the service is good. The building has a lot of history and has beautiful views. On our most recent visit, I did notice they don't give out complimentary chips and dip anymore, which is a bummer, but otherwise this place just gets it right every single time.“
“I was staying there do to my significant other in the hospital for a motorcycle accident. There was a few housekeepers there I talked to personally and I want to tell everyone what a amazing job they did to make sure all of our needs were met, as of fresh towels, blankets, and what ever else we needed.. thanks again and God bless each and everyone of you..“

“Would I recommend? Hmm. Our server was great ( I wish I got her name) but she was overwhelmed and they were under staffed. The food? Not great. Everything was overdone. The cornbread was dry. I ordered the seared tune salad and the tuna was more medium well. The music could have been a little more upbeat for a weekend. While we all ( a party of 6) ate our food, it wasn’t the greatest. It may have just been an off night, every restaurant has some. I felt bad for our server. She was such a sweetheart. She can’t control the cooking staff or management. Management needs to learn that they need to take better care of their staff to make sure that patrons experience is above satisfied. Will I come back? Maybe. But it might be a long while? Will I recommend? If someone asks me about I will be honest. Will I come out and say you have to go there? No. But I won’t discourage anyone from trying it.“

“Our biggest disappointment was traveling with 4 couples and they will not split the bill into couples. We all have different spending priorities with drinks, and food. They only wanted to split with 2 credit cards. I find a golf resort should be able to accommodate couples traveling together.“
