“Language immersion, encouraging critical thinking, proximity and accessibility of professors, and nurturing creativity.“
“Great coffee! Like both locations!“
“3.5 starsDrinks: pretty good, better than I would expect for what it is, and very convenient for fueling study sessions. Their $1 coffee if you bring your own thermos deal is great! Downsides: you could probably get better coffee for the same price at some of the nearby coffee shops. I've also had 2 occasions where I got the wrong sized drink despite specifying 16 oz vs 12 oz cup. Not a huge deal but can be annoying.Food: Their prepared foods are actually really good (fresh sushi rolls, salads, curry masala, etc) - but they are pricey! They also tend to run out quickly during the lunch rush and dont get restocked right away, so theres a lot less options for people looking for a later lunch. Wish there were more vegetarian sandwich options as well.Ambience: Pros - Location is as convenient as you can get. Customer service is consistently good. Lines move quickly even during the lunch rush. Cons- they don't have any dedicated seating areas; their mobile ordering system via the Go app no longer appears to be functional. Wish they had extended hours, especially weekends.“
“North Quad Dining in Ann Arbor will always hold a special place in my heart. Working there alongside incredible people like Chef Rob, Danette, Jacob, Louis, Tye, and my amazing student colleagues made a huge difference during my first year in the U.S. Some days, I found myself counting down the minutes until the end of my lab work, just so I could go there—enjoy a meal, clear my mind by serving food, and share conversations with the staff and fellow students.
The space itself is cozy and inviting, perfect for an all-day study session with friends. For any international student coming to Ann Arbor, I wholeheartedly recommend working here at least once—you’ll understand exactly what I mean.“
“The best place to grab a drink downtown if you want to enjoy the time with your company, or if you want to spend time alone. The vibes are off the chart. No loud music, just great cocktails, beer, and service. Mark (the owner) is kind and inviting and the one bartender Ella matches his energy. This is the perfect third space (albeit the drinks aren't free).“

“I was recently in Cahoots!
Cahoots Café blends cozy, modern, and mid-century touches into a warm environment bathed in natural light. A “visually stunning” with a “chic mid-century modern decor, spacious interior,” creating the perfect setting for both casual meetups and focused work. The café also offers an inviting lobby feel for sipping your coffee al fresco.“

“Really disappointed when I found out the lobster butter love was not actually a steaming molten cup of butter. But you know. Caffeine is just as good.
Roos Roast has a great group of Baristas! Some of the most wonderful people you could meet!“

“Love this place-
Tried Canelle for the first time in Detroit, and this branch is just as nice. This spot has fresh pastries, good coffee (and an amazing Mocha), and a comforting overall ambiance. The Parisian influence is especially nice and the outdoor patio on a crisp summer/fall day is just so pleasant. I’d highly recommend a visit if you’re on the lookout for a neat coffee spot in Ann Arbor.“
