“First time here and we love this place! We came down to see how a community close to Athens, Michigan had fared through the tornado and had dinner at The Office. Great service, great food, cold beer, and very welcoming. Kudos on having a great business!”

“Wonderful family restaurant. I appreciate that many of the menu item are made in house opposed to the same frozen stuff available in town! My family has made a yearly tradition 3+ years now of apending Thanksgiving with Dawn's place and look forward all year to those cheesy potatoes! Best cheesecake on EARTH. Check her out. It's Colon Michigan's best kept gem. Thank you Dawn and the team!”

“was given ice cream out the freezer that was already pretty much melted if I wanted a milkshake would have ordered one🙄”
“Lovely place, great concept!! Wonderful service and delicious food. However, I have been to many tasting dinners and have fasted a bit before each---do not fast before this, the portions are so delicious but small. As long as you treat it like a tasting meal, you will be fine. The atmosphere was top notch”
“We used Summit Hill Farm Bakery for desserts for our small backyard wedding. We had pies and cookies and they were all SO beautiful and delicious! Everything was a hit, especially the peanut butter pie, key lime pie, and the buckwheat cookies. Vicki was incredibly easy to communicate with and she arrived early to set everything up.”

“Mel's 50's Diner is just that: a 1950's-themed American diner. Good food, good service, and a bunch of guys sitting and talking. I enjoyed a very pleasant Monday morning breakfast (Western omelet - $7)”
“Some donuts, ice cream and food. This place is a hidden gem of a place. It’s a small town ice cream shop that serves homemade donuts and hard ice cream. They also have a food menu that is very reasonably priced and tasty. I didn’t take photos of the food, but the coney dog, pulled pork sliders and French fries were delicious!!!The ice cream is always top notch and the flavor I got today, caramel apple and it was amazing. The waffle cones come plain, chocolate covered, chocolate sprinkled, or chocolate and peanuts. The plain was flavorful and thin so it was not so hard or thick to over power the ice cream. The people who work there are all very friendly and accommodating. You never feel that you’re unwelcome. Definitely a plus. The inside gives you a feel of an ice cream store in the past. It has some things inside that will remind you of some early childhood memories. The outside is done nicely with seats and tables under a covered area which allows you to mingle and eat your food. The bonus is they have all sorts of fall things for sale such as flowers and pumpkins. The also have some bean bag toss games for all to play while having a hay ride that the family can enjoy ever half hour I believe.Stop on by and enjoy a nice Sunday while enjoying some good food, ice cream and donuts. Oh, they also have pies for sale too and they were delicious last year.”

“I’ve always had a good experience there. It isn’t fast food. It’s a place to go where you can enjoy the salad bar before the entree. Usually 15-30 minutes until the main entree arrives. I worked there and unlike most restaurants it is a tight ship and clean. I enjoy dining there and have always had good service. Also the atmosphere is special with windows into nature. Dining and watching hummingbirds and even deer is special. The gardens and flowers are exquisite. A nice stroll to experience. It’s family owned and deserves support of people who enjoy fine dining.”

“My wife and I ordered broasted chicken wich was pretty good. We don't care for white meat so we asked if we could get dark meat and was told yes. When I got the bill I was charged an extra$4 for the dark meat. We were not told this when we ordered. Probably won't go back.”

“I have ordered catering from this subway for going on year number 4 now always this time of the year for various school parties for my grandchildren starting with preschool and there all in elementary now. This is the first time I have done 3 classrooms at once and sorry to say without ample notice, and I must say they knocked it out of the park! Ms S. And Ms K were phenomenal and spot on with the needs of the different classrooms and I was blowened away on how they had each of them ready. All 3 classes were be on greatful and all the children were so excited! You have 2 very awesome employees there and I will be back for my 5th order hopefully before school ends this year!Thank you”

“I love the aesthetic of this restaurant, it’s so cute. The service was good, and the time from ordering to eating was good as well. The food was excellent, delicious every bite. I had a double burger & fries, my mom had a turkey sub and fries. We both had their coleslaw, and it is by far the best I have ever had. I will put a disclaimer for those gluten sensitive and celiac peeps I’m not sure if it’s the burger (no bun) or the fries, but I was extremely sick and in pain after eating here. My guess is the fries as they were seasoned and not the regular fries. I highly suggest that this restaurant warns people about the seasoned fries. While they taste great, it wasn’t worth feeling sick all day afterwards, and it could kill somebody who has celiac. All in all though, I definitely recommend eating here.”
