The restaurant was great - located inside a golf resort. The distance was much further than reported by the app. Instead of 30 minutes away, it was an hour and twenty. Once there we were quite pleased.
We enjoyed a nice dinner before Hot air Balloon launch - the happy hour menu made the evening more enjoyable
Very disappointed, I remember the shanty creek glory days when it was the place to go, now it's nothing more than a glorified cafeteria

The Lakeview Restaurant at Shanty Creek Resort offers an amazing dining experience. The food is made with love and is very flavorful. Guests have enjoyed the cheeseburger and waffle fries, Sirloin, Walleye, garlic parm wings, prime rib special with mashed potatoes and asparagus, chicken tenders, and meatloaf dinner. The steak bite starter with horseradish sauce is also a favorite. The restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for families and special occasions like anniversaries. The view of Lake Bellaire is stunning, especially during sunset. The staff is attentive, warm, and goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. Despite being busy at times, the service is great and the staff works hard to ensure a wonderful experience. The menu has many options, and guests have complimented the chosen dishes. The Lakeview Restaurant is a great place to enjoy food, friends, and family, and the brownie sundae is a must-try for dessert.
