“Our waitress Cayla K was fantastic. Came in during a storm to wait it out with my two young girls and enjoyed just eating talking looking at the rain and our waitress didn't have a care how long we were in her section. Wonderful person definitely deserves some recognition!“

“We lost power and had to go out for dinner. So we went to Sam's Place. We had the Polish Sampler plates and an extra side of pirogi. The meal was delicious and the fried sauerkraut was interesting. The tomato sauce on the cabbage roll was bland but the roll was tasty. But the tomato sauce tasted good with the fried sauerkraut. The cheese pirogi was the tastiest in my opinion but my wife like the potato ones. \n The desserts were mediocre. My wife tried the recommended chocolate mousse. It was mostly chocolate pudding. I had the Pumpkin pie and it was as good as the Sara Lee pumpkin pie. Unless you really want dessert, I suggest you skip it.“

“My husband and I pass this place all the time, and I regret not going for the last 5 years of living here! We went on a busy weekday during our lunch break. There were a lot of families there, so I was worried that the food would take a while, but it arrived quickly; and they got our order correct! The portion was filling, and they didn’t skimp on the feta; but it’s the quality and freshness of the ingredients that stands out. The savory bites of gyro meat peppered throughout made me keep going for more bites. The hash brown was crispy. And the wheat toast… I’m not a huge toast fan, and it looked like your average toast; but there was something really special about the taste and couldn’t put my finger on it! I’m not sure if it was the butter they used or what but almost tasted like French toast. I can’t wait to come back and try their other menu items. They deserve more than 4 stars.“

“We missed the boat with our local catering choices, so I decided to give Benzina's Bistro a shot for our recent party needs. They nailed it! Chicken was juicy, breadsticks were great and the wedges were a hit as well. Highly recommend using them for your next party.“

“Great food and hospitality like I have never experienced. I was from out of state and had to extend a 2 hour business trip to two days in Ann Arbor. I was unable to find a hotel room do to the beginning of Fall semester at the University of Michigan which dampened my mood ,somewhat. No toothbrush,ect,\n The manager was hosting a celebration of the promotion to Detective of a local police officer. They included me in the party and changed my whole attitude. I took a better view of our species from that very special social interlude. You can't make stuff like this up.\n I pondered the event as set in for the night in my car. There was a golden lining in that cloud and I got the best nights sleep I have ever had in a compact rental car.\n My waitress was wonderful and provided me with uncanny feedback on negative situations. I'll be back.“

“I had a delicious breakfast. Our waitress was excellent,very attentive. The issue which was very disturbing was a women eating behind the counter cashiering. This is so unsanitary! She appeared to be a cashier. Unacceptable in a restaurant.“
