“Fresh hot delicious food. We just moved to the area and are looking for local fried chicken places. Ordered the fried chicken sandwich deluxe meal. Also have had 8 piece meal shack pack previously. Always comes out crispy and piping hot, however stays juicy, not dry at all. Their portions are also generous. Staff are very friendly, patient, and quick. Area very clean. There is enough for seating for 8 people only at a bar style seating, otherwise no other sit down table available. Ample parking. Will definitely come back! They also have catering available, I grabbed a menu for when we host parties in the future. Will update review once we try the catering as well.“
“The food here is outstanding diner food. Large, generous portions at a fair price. But what I love most about this place, is the atmosphere and OUTSTANDING wait staff. Everyone, and I mean everyone is helpful, kind and just lovely! I'm so happy when I'm there!“
“I've been going there literally my entire life.(42 years.) The burgers and sandwiches are great. An Ypsi institution, really. Don't expect any specials or for the menu to change. Full House is what it is, and does what it does. And it does it damned well!“
“I always love coming to The Golden Egg. The employees are warm, welcoming, and personable. I can tell they genuinely care about every guest. Recently I came with a friend and sat at the bar for the first time. We were long cashed out but still checked on very frequently by our server, other servers, and one of the cooks as we were sitting at the bar. The food is hot and delicious!“
“Great first experience here. Super friendly dudes running the counter and kitchen. Very good burgers with tons of customizable options. They also have three options for vegetarian burger patties here (veggie, impossible, or falafel) which is excellent and I am excited to try them. I got a birthday batter milkshake and it's the best one I've had around here. Cheaper than a large Starbucks drink too. Thanks guys.“
“My husband and I went here yesterday, around 1-2 pm on a Saturday. We went with my stepdaughter and her boyfriend, who live barely two blocks away. Luckily for us, they weren't crazy busy. The inside is open and airy, with beautiful but simple wood throughout. We had an appetizer of the pimento cheese and warm pita.... amazing. Ice cold and excellent Coke, that was refilled without being asked for, which was nice. We ordered two of the brisket sandwiches, one with fries, the other with salad, the smoked turkey sandwich ( a version of a turkey Ruben, with a twist), with fries, and the veggies/three ways ( beautiful roasted cauliflower, asparagus and brussel sprouts in a bed of creamy grits ). Everyone was very happy with their food, the fries were dangerously good and the veggie dish could have easily been shared by two or three people. We would go back again.“
“The best Mexican food I've had since covid started. Bit into a chorizo taco and almost cried. Better than taco king, Chelas, bei rock and almost any other spot I've been to in a while. Beans 10/10 rice 10/10 everything is just too good.“
“The food is all scratch made and is fantastic! The turkey pot pie is a favorite for my family. The staff are all warm and friendly. This place really is an absolute gem.Kid-friendliness: Good kids menu with kid friendly atmosphere and staff.“
“This honestly would have been a 5 star review had it not been for the GM Chuck. This was clearly a day where the restaurant was displaying, what many restaurants are facing these days, a shortage in staff. There was literally 1 waiter, 1 seater, and the chef. The waiter was tripling for bartender, waiter, and runner , however, John couldn't have been more exceptional. He apologized for the wait, made some amazing drinks (i got the blueberry lavender lemonade and added tequila ) and brought out some AMAZING FOOD. i got the Brussels and the spicy bowl (hold the swine no ), and ooohhhwer was it good. The assistant manager Theo, was very understanding of our complaints because we really wanted to talk to Chuck personally to express our distaste for his rude behavior, condescending attitude, and just overall piss poor demeanor. Chuck, in my opinion, shouldn't be working in hospitality because he doesn't, have a heart for people. To watch his staff suffering but still making the best, while he acted as if he didn't want to be bothered, is extremely unacceptable. I would say, secondly come here, except when Chuck is here.“
“I ordered chicken tenders with ranch and chili cheese fries, for take out. The chicken tenders are huge and delicious. They're definitely not frozen ones that they pass off as homemade. The price was fantastic too. $11 for everything. The fries were delicious too, but the chicken tenders are next level. Highly recommend this restaurant. Also when I went inside to pick up my order it was super clean, the staff was really nice and it was quick.“
“The employees! They are the reason I go in there. Months go by, walk in and they greet you like they’ve always known you. They know the food you want. Check with you before of course. Foods delicious. My neighbor just told me “ it’s like family there” agreed. It really is. Keep those employees whatever you do. It’s been said by regulars, in my complex was a regular there. He didn’t go in for like 2 days. Employees was concerned. One went to his house. Found him on the floor where he was for 2 days! He’d be dead hadn’t been for her. Same with a lady across the way from him. Employee went to find her. No response. They called 911, if another half hour went by, she’d be dead. Covid made a lot of places unfriendly. Not sinbads. Nice as always. Going there today was a good idea. Made my day. Food, employees are great!!!!! PS. My outta town friend has to go there every time she visits. She tags the place too“
“Chill place with semi-alt vibe..My husband and I stopped in here for a simple date night dinner. The korean bbq loaded tots were fun with an elevated taste. We ordered thre burger with the fried green tomato & house made pimento cheese - absolutely delectable. However the charizo tacos were very greasy and lacked the excitement that the other two dishes shined with. Their ciders and beers are of the plently. Cannot wait to return and try something different (;“
“Had a very nice breakfast. Hippy hash with corned beef was very good! Our waitress was very attentive and kept my coffee cup filled, which makes a big difference to me as far as breakfasts go! She even got me a little cinnamon to add to my coffee. I was just in town for a visit, but the pot roast special on the board for dinner looked appetizing. They also had a nice variety of sweeties for dessert that definitely looked tempting!I recommend this restaurant as a good spot for a casual meal with good food at reasonable prices. I did notice that the entrance might be a challenge for someone in a wheelchair (I work in rehab), but there was another door that I think could be used to enter. If this is a need you have, I would recommend calling ahead to ask.Wheelchair accessibility: See info at end of my review.“
“Great experience today!! We went in this evening around 6pm. We were seated really quickly, food came out quickly as well. Our server Savannah was doing great tonight. The GM Drew was providing excellent management as evidenced by observing Savannah and the other servers bustling around and providing great experiences for the guests. Some of my family members had burgers and chicken, I had a veggie burger. One family member really enjoyed the presentation of those cinnamon donut things. Everything was really nice, from walking in, to eating, restrooms were well cleaned. Thanks Red Robin and staff!!“
“The food was greasy, but that's what I was hoping for from steak and shake. Not a single vegetable in sight that didn't go on a burger. Shake was great, fries were a little under done for my taste. However, the place felt a bit dirty, the order kiosks were oddly placed, and the trash didn't seem to easily fit the tray liners.“
“Been here a few times now and I love it! It’s great for late night drinks after everywhere else closes. Very friendly staff. They were missing an ingredient for a cocktail I wanted so they arranged an alternative that was good. I really like the space, the outdoor seating, and the pinball games. And right in depot town.“
“You don't find old school places like this much anymore!Food was inexpensive, greasy, very processed but freshly prepared and fried to order.Chicken was different, sort of a flat pounded tender that was almost tough, like it was cooked twice. Milkshake tasted like it was from a mix. Reminds you of the stuff you used to get growing up. Fries and onion rings were hot and super greasy. Pretty sure our ketchup packets were expired but we brought our own.Everything was hot, order was correct and the food was exactly what we were expecting from this sort of place. You will have better food elsewhere but why would you want to go there? This is the original Chick Inn! Please eat here and keep them around.“
“My family and I Love Leo's Coney Island. They make the best Chili cheese fries. The Patty melt, melts in the mouth, curly fries, cheese burger, everything is super delicious ??? service was very fast. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff are super nice? HIGHLY recommend this place, and for sure, I'm going again very soon?“
“If you ask people in other parts of the United States what a "Coney Island" is, you'll receive two different answers. One is the entertainment section in the southwestern borough of Brooklyn in New York City. The other is a type of restaurant that is popular in the northern States, having it's origin in Jackson, Michigan in 1914, and are very well-known today in the city of Detroit and throughout the nearby suburbs. When I always think establishments like Luca's, what comes to mind are the famous Coney Island style hot-dogs with chili and onions. These are a staple at just about every greasy spoon. However, the menu selection at this restaurant is truly diversified, and reflects the Albanian heritage of the owners. If you're looking for a great all American food Luca's is the place for you, especially when it comes to breakfast. I decided to drop-in for lunch a few days ago, as my vehicle needed some maintenance done to it. After scanning the menu, I decided to order a Turkey Reuben sandwich, which is an off menu item. Instead of a classic Rueben, I decided to have them substitute turkey, with a side of Thousand-Island dressing. Likewise, I wanted to try their hash-brown potatoes as well. I have to admit that it tasted better than I expected. The service was fast and speedy, with no complaints. A friend of mine said that when he visited Luca's last year, the service was very slow. However, this was not the case when I was there, as it was lightning fast. Likewise, the interior was very clean, and the audio level was average. I will be back!“
“Been following for a long time and finally got to go last night. Service was a little on the struggle bus, but they were very friendly and tried hard. The beet salad was a little uneventful, so we were slightly worried this was going to be a disappointing evening. And then the entrees finally came out. My wife is a vegan and she knew going into it the menu would be limited for her (she knew I wanted it) so the only thing she could get was the pasta dish, and we both have decided it was the best pasta dish we had ever tasted. She cleaned her plate. I had the fried catfish with black beans, and it was literally amazing. Like, I’m going to dream about it. We live almost an hour and a half away, and it was worth the drive.“
