“This evening, my daughter and I enjoyed a terrific meal and exceptional service. Our server, Laura, anticipated our wants and needs without any asking on our part. She was attentive and friendly. We also made a to-do order and it was delivered smoothly.“

“As someone who’s Hispanic and grew up in California, I’ve had a lot of authentic Mexican food over the years. After living in Ohio for the past five years, it’s been hard to find something that truly compares — until I tried Miny’s in Michigan.

The quality for the price is unbeatable. The flavors are bold, authentic, and clearly made with care. The textures are spot on, from the tortillas to the fillings, and everything tastes fresh.

The carne asada tacos are more than worth the price, and the guacamole is fresh — easily better than Chipotle. These are hands down the best tacos I’ve had since living in the Midwest, and they genuinely reminded me of the spots back home in California.

If you care about real Mexican food and not just “Mexican-inspired,” this place is absolutely worth the trip. I’ll definitely be back.

“This is literally the best Mexican food in the area and rivals anything you will find in Southwest Detroit. The lengue is outstanding along with the birria and the carne asada. Don’t forget the extra salsa verde !“

“We had brunch at Tikalito today and everything was fantastic! I had the huevos rancheros - the best I’ve had since I lived in L.A. twenty-plus years ago. My wife had a chicken tamale and it too was out of this world - the masa was thick and flavorful. And the refried beans… a hint of cocoa, flavored with molé, maybe? Super friendly service too. “Ordered online and paid for it. Show up in restaurant they say it never came through. No big deal place the order in person. Days later I notice I'm double charged and getting the run around for my refund. Proceed with caution here.

After a week process of phone calls and finally going in person, I was able to get my proper refund. Food was delicious and the owner was apologetic. Will be back for another try.“

“When it comes to authenticity, this restaurant has it. Its cozy and intimate and the aroma what wafts from the kitchen is heavenly. Not too much...just enough to make you want whatever it is they are cooking. The lady behind the counter was a sweetheart even though you can tell there was a slight language barrier. “This is my favorite Taco Bell in the land. I live a block away so I come fairly often. I add/remove stuff from the potato taco sometimes (because the possibilities are endless) and they’ve never messed up an order. I got a soggy taco from a different TBell the other day and it made me miss this Washtenaw Ave TBell. The drive-thru line can get long in the evenings, but that’s only because there are few other restaurants in the area that stay open as late as them. The staff is speedy, and always pleasant.“
