This evening, my daughter and I enjoyed a terrific meal and exceptional service. Our server, Laura, anticipated our wants and needs without any asking on our part. She was attentive and friendly. We also made a to-do order and it was delivered smoothly.
Food was fantastic, so many choices, and not the usual fare. Homemade chips with a variety of delicious salsas, baked avacado for an appetizer, Flautas for dinner 😋😋. Fatima was the BEST waitress, I ate and drank everything she recommended, and wasn't disappointed!

MAÍZ Mexican Cantina is a restaurant that serves unique takes on traditional favorites, with food that has gotten way better. The chips and salsa are absolutely the best, and the salsa and guacamole are better than the average Mexican spot. The refried beans and rice are outstanding, though the rice can be a slight bit under cooked. Popular taco plates include the three tacos entree with street corn, the mixed taco meal with fish, carne asada, and fresco, and the Cameron Diablo which is spicy good. The asada is a personal favorite, and the fish taco is fantastic. The atmosphere can be loud but has all good vibes, or it is not too loud. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is kind and helpful. Customer service at the bar could be better depending on who is behind the counter. The main entrees set them apart from all the rest, truly unique without being too fancy. It is by far the best Mexican restaurant.
