“My husband and I went here yesterday, around 1-2 pm on a Saturday. We went with my stepdaughter and her boyfriend, who live barely two blocks away. Luckily for us, they weren't crazy busy. The inside is open and airy, with beautiful but simple wood throughout. We had an appetizer of the pimento cheese and warm pita.... amazing. Ice cold and excellent Coke, that was refilled without being asked for, which was nice. We ordered two of the brisket sandwiches, one with fries, the other with salad, the smoked turkey sandwich ( a version of a turkey Ruben, with a twist), with fries, and the veggies/three ways ( beautiful roasted cauliflower, asparagus and brussel sprouts in a bed of creamy grits ). Everyone was very happy with their food, the fries were dangerously good and the veggie dish could have easily been shared by two or three people. We would go back again.“

“I was so impressed with this place. Even though they have a high overall rating, there seemed to be some concerns about service and prices. Ok, so this place isn't cheap by any means and if you are starving, go elsewhere, but the food was delicious. We had the hirmasa which was amazing, the pickes which were good, the branzino which was delicious, the steamed clams and mussels which were uniquely yummy, and the short rib pho. We also had the sticky rice dessert which was fruity and interesting. We ordered several drinks from the menu and didn't dislike any of them. They are very different yet good. Our server, Nick, checked on us regularly and didn't let us go without food or a drink. I will be back.“
“This was my first time at this restaurant and I was there for a work dinner. It was lively in the restaurant and a little louder and people around us seemed to be deeply engaged in conversation. Our server was very attentive. We ordered cocktails, and a few appetizers that included spinach artichoke dip, the shrimp, brussels sprouts and a couple of folks got the gumbo. I ordered the scallops and grits as my meal. The grits were delicious and the scallops were well prepared. Not overcooked at all the dish had a bit of a kick that was perfect other folks order the salmon, and they seem to like it. I ordered the English garden with vodka, and it was smooth. I enjoyed it very much. We will be back again!“

It's not the largest place, but the smaller size just adds to the cozy character. The menu has a number of excellent cocktail and drink options with excellent bartenders. Personally, the Hurricane drink that they make is my favorite. If you want an intimate evening of drinks with a date or a night with a few friends, this is the perfect place.“

“We've been twice in three weeks. Everything we've tried was excellent. We'll definitely be going back. It's a big open space with tables (and a small second floor area) which means there's a higher than usual level of background noise. Because the food lives up to the reviews you may have a short wait to dine but the meal will be well worth the time.Parking: In the evenings there's plenty of open shops, loads of people and less parking than needed. You'll have to circle around once or twice and you shouldn't waste time looking for the perfect spot. Grab any open spot.“

“Not my normal place I'd be at but they host a board game event every 2nd Thursday of the month. That was pretty cool. Was fun to try some different cheeses and meats I normally wouldn't. Someone who knows more about wine would enjoy their drinks more than me. But I'll probably be back.“
“The ambiance at Nightcap was such a vibe on a Saturday night. We came to this place for some drinks after grabbing dinner at a nearby restaurant and had to wait about 20 minutes to get in. They have an extensive menu around the Cocktails they offer, and our server was great at recommendations.We ordered a bunch of Crafted Cocktails amongst the 6 of us, and everything tasted delicious. I am a fan of their Smoked Mezcal Cocktail. I'm definitely recommending this place if you ever plan bar-hopping around Ann-Arbor. “Got the shrimp tacos- SO good. Only come with 2 tacos but they are HUGE and more than enough food. Tortillas are meh but that’s not important. Spinach dip was very decadent as well. All of my coworkers food looked really good too. We stayed for trivia and it was really fun. Atmosphere is great and everyone is very friendly.“

“My girlfriend, Sarah, and I visited this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. We weren’t able to make a reservation ahead of time for only 2 people, but the wait was only a few minutes (although we got here around 6 and it seemed like the wait got longer by the time we left). We started off with the house made focaccia and would highly recommend this. The honey butter that came with this was the star of the show. We also had the margherita pizza and the pesto + pomodoro pasta. The pizza was delicious, thin, and filling. The pasta was very fresh and we liked how it was cut and shaped. The pasta was perfectly salty and just enough to be filling. Wait staff was great, wait times were short, and the environment was a good mix between casual and fancy (no need to dress up, but you also wouldn’t stick out if you did!). We highly recommend this restaurant!!!Parking: There is a paid parking garage about a block away on Thompson street that is $1.20 per hour, there is very limited street parking that is also paid parking.“

As the Rabbit Hole suggests, it is on the lower level and has many different pockets (“burrows”) like a rabbit hole. There was plenty of room for everyone and plenty of seating. We are very impressed: the nachos were loaded, delicious, and plentifu ( Be sure to request both cheeses), every drink was excellent according to my family, and my choice of "Old fashioned was perfect (I ended up purchasing a bottle of their Bond bourbon their 4 year version, one of the smoothest full bodied bourbons I've had). Our pizzas choices were: "Chicken Pesto" and Willow Run" which is made from their delicious homemade sauce. The decor is an eclectic collection of brass instruments and antique boat engines from above and the ceiling surrounding a full sized aircraft adorned with a homage to Rosie the Riveter. The servers were also attired as Rosie the Riveter. Our server, "Kylie" was an absolute professional server, she offered excellent suggestions and it was obvious she really enjoyed her job. Excellent service, exceptional food and atmosphere. This is a hidden gem.“

“Been following for a long time and finally got to go last night. Service was a little on the struggle bus, but they were very friendly and tried hard. The beet salad was a little uneventful, so we were slightly worried this was going to be a disappointing evening. And then the entrees finally came out. My wife is a vegan and she knew going into it the menu would be limited for her (she knew I wanted it) so the only thing she could get was the pasta dish, and we both have decided it was the best pasta dish we had ever tasted. She cleaned her plate. I had the fried catfish with black beans, and it was literally amazing. Like, I’m going to dream about it. We live almost an hour and a half away, and it was worth the drive.“
